I agree Tom, nice pic. Here is an older thread about hollow handle knives I made when I first started, http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...le-quot-Survival-quot-Knife-What-do-you-think .
That's back in September 2013 when I made my first knife and had never even spoken about making knives before. Not quite, but almost three years ago. Time sure flies. Some things have changed in how I make the knives, but it is an interesting read. Lots of good suggestions from experienced makers.

If you want to expell me from Blade Forums for simply defending myself and telling the truth...If that is what you wanna do then pls...go ahead! I don't come here much anymore anyway!
But I stand up for myself bro!! If that's not respected the do what you have to do I guess! Just let me know so that I'll know not to try coming here again!
Really Jackal. I'm Italian too by the way...Half Italian. Anyway, I bought the Extrema Ratio Doberman 4. I heard really good things about them. I was planning to buy a few more!!
So thank you thank you Thank You Jackal...You prob just saved me about $1500!! Thanks man!!

Sorry for the delay... Nothing bro, It is a pleasure for me to save your money!! This great forum and above all this fantastic thread, does just that.. To give and receive opinions, recommendations! I know that you surely have heard good things about the ER, you know why? Because they are very good at marketing.. But then just look at a couple of tests on YouTube to understand better.. Anyway, I'm sorry, I caused all this mess with only one question..... Really you're half Italian?? Great!! Sometimes I feel myself a bit alone, there are not many Italians on this forum....
Pls keep in mind...Never pay a knifemaker upfront to make your knife because as someone said, it is the Hardest knife for a knife maker to make...One that is already Paid For!!
Sam, the thing I remember the most about your introduction is that crazy video of you doing chin ups on the handle of one of your knives. You had me at hello!![]()
Interesting thread, even without the pictures.
Nice one.
Ian.
It's one of the more awesome looking blades in this thread.
Mmmh we have very similar tastes..... Chris Reeve one piece, Parrish, Martin Knives, Randall #18......
Half of the knives in this pic are in my collection, the other half are in my wishlist..
RPWs are built for hard use and pretty comfortable. Nice folks to deal with. I don't have one with the threaded cap but he showed me the protos a few years back and I was impressed with the precise fit.Hmm, never thought about that before.
I paid, up front, for a HH a couple years ago. It was like pulling teeth trying to get my knife after every missed deadline.
The maker finally got sandy with me and told me that he would refund my "deposit", $40 or so, he could always sell the knife to a willing buyer in his"available" section. I had to explain to him that I had already PAID for the knife! After a few more weeks, he finally made the knife and got it to me.
It's one of the more awesome looking blades in this thread. It hasn't broken yet. But I certainly don't trust the workmanship after dealing with the lack of moral integrity from the maker. I will never buy another from him that's for sure.
My suggestion is to make a deposit, put the money away, be patient, and keep shopping!
On a lighter note, it's nice to see a Robson X46 in this thread. I bought one of these at the same time I bought the "other" HH. The Robson is great!
Too bad CR quite making the HH knives.
I bought a CR Shadow but always wanted a Project II.
Apropos nothing at all; I feel like buying a Sam Wilson knife![]()
That RPW looks dang nice. Ive liked those ever since noticing them for the first time.RPWs are built for hard use and pretty comfortable. Nice folks to deal with. I don't have one with the threaded cap but he showed me the protos a few years back and I was impressed with the precise fit.
