Mmmh we have very similar tastes..... Chris Reeve one piece, Parrish, Martin Knives, Randall #18......
Half of the knives in this pic are in my collection, the other half are in my wishlist..
Interesting, that you like them over CR HHs.I like the Robson 1-piece knives better than the old CRK's. The shape of the handle is easier to hold than the CRK's handle. Its easier than any round handle for that matter.
If they ever carve these out of 3V I will buy one, no matter the cost. It will be expensive.
I've always wanted a Timberline SA9 by Mr. Neeley! When I am ready to buy, however, I'm not sure whether to get one of his older versions or one of his newer versions!!
Aside from that, I tell you this much...I have not ever had a knife blade as strongly built as my Ray Matton First Blood movie knife!! That freaking blade is a nuclear bomb-stopper!! LOL well, shouldn't go That far but still...just making a point!
Same with my Martin Knives' MCE II, my Schiller FB knife, and this one knife that was made by Andrew Clifford for a US Special Forces Soldier in Iraq back in 2003!
The guy used that knife in both Mid East Wars and it has seen actual combat fighting!! To this day I'm still overwhelmed...and overjoyed...of how I was blessed with owning such a meaningful knife!!
I am very proud and honored to own it, being a former military person myself!! Very proud and I tell ya what, that 9.3 incher is strong strong!!! And the edge on that baby is to Die for!!

Respect for this man, who is fighting in the Mid East war.. I really like when a knife also has a history behind! One of my next purchase is ABSOLUTELY a hollow handle knife (I do not write the maker, will be a surprise!) which at the moment belongs to an ex sniper of the American Police.. As soon as I have the money I have to buy it absolutely, it is a beautiful knife, and has been used by a great man.. It is an honor to know this men.. You have an MCE II of Martin Knives?? Amazing knife... As I wrote, I prefer the Apparo 9.5", but also the MCE is amazing.... By the way, I read on Facebook that Mr. Martin's health are not good.. Leukemia I think, unfortunately.. I think he stopped all the orders to make knives, right?
Jackal,
Yeah I heard that too!! Poor Newt!! He was such a pleasure to work with! And he gave me a super birthday gift...well..several...that I didn't even know we're coming.
When he contacted me...and Right On Time too...to tell me my knife was finished, he sounded even more excited for me than I was! LOL!
And he sounded very shocked and surprised when I paid him in full, immediately, and right away too! That right there told me that he must deal with some slow payers!!
But that is the way I love things to be done...On Time, Paid For Immediately, and then packaged and Shipped Immediately or within the next 2 or 3 days as promised!!
Compromises can be made..I don't mind if something comes up and I have to wait a couple extra days! It's not like I Don't have knives to use already! But what makes my skin curl and my Italian temper rise is when the person has No Contact right after they get their money!! Ooooohh that just urks my ass when that happens! LOL I know at times it just cannot be helped and I know that! And I totally understand that once contact is made!
But that is just me and ordering a custom knife is supposed to be fun on both sides of the track. If one side is just happy and reaps the benefits while the other one is made to wait and just left in the dark, then it gets to Not be pleasant on one side. Anytime there arises questions like "OK, I made the guy's knife...why ain't he paying for my work and the knife?" OR "OK, I paid and honored my word...Why am I still waiting for a simple sign or contact letting me know my knife is on its way??!"
That is when the fun and excitement turns into frustrations, possible regrets, nasty messages being sent or nasty call messages being left!! And eventually, that just makes the knifemaker wishing he would of Never made the knife, or the customer saying like, "Ohh No, I gotta endure this again?? I just endured this same thing with a diff knifemaker last time I ordered a knife!! Ordering custom knives Ives to be made is not fun anymore...it's just one big headache and I am just not giving business to Any other knife maker"
And although understandable, getting that way is just not fair to those knifemakers that are always honest and dependable! Well, I am getting off topic here, lol...I'll switch back to topic! LOL!
Anyway, again, Newt Martin is Exceptional to do business with and order from. He truly does not deserve getting that leukemia crap! And I hope with all my heart that he beats that crap and sends it right back to Hell from where it came.
Anyway, I also really want the Aparro 9.5 inches! I was going to order it at first...But decided that the closest I will prob ever come to owning a Rambo Mission knife or one that resembles it, is the MCE II! So I chose that one instead.
And I was planning to order the 9.5" Aparro knife from Newt this year, as soon as Andy finished my own designed knife! Well, like a month after...But I wanted to.get it paid for first!
That is done now, but now can't order the Aparro until and unless Newt recovers, gets in remission, and starts making knives again!! I thought about getting the Boker Plus production version of it. I've heard nothing but great things about that one. And I would've done already bought it if Boker made it with a 9.5" blade or close to.it, or if they ever Do, and use a high end steel for making it!
But that tiny little 7 or 7.5" midget knife blade...well...that is just way to small of blade for me. I just don't care for those smaller blade knives...no smaller than at least 8.5" blades!
Now, I Did buy that Extrema Ratio Doberman IV knife...blade just over 7"...and the Kizlyar Supreme X hh knife...because I felt like I should have at least a couple smaller knife to carry as an additional secondary knife! But that is the only reason!!
LOL Ohh Jackal, bro...I just looked and realized how long my post was here!! Hahaha I'm sorry buddy but at least it's not one big Wall Of Text! Man I used to just type those...no spaces...not here tho, but the first knife forum I went to!! And man oh man, did I really make folks mad, and got made fun of!!
I've come a Long way since those Ole Walls of Text days of mine!! Now, as you can see, I have learned to use paragraphs and spaces!! Hahahahaha!
But anyway, my apologies again for the length of this thing! I will try to keep them shorter.from now on.Jackal Ole buddy...lol OK?
I happen to Own a M1 hh knife by Sam Wilson. By the way, we settled out differences privately! It was time to just let it all go!! I sure feel a lot better too...Not being a slave to That grudge anymore!
Anyway, I happen to Own the Sam Wilson M1 knife. It is the 2nd one he made! It is numbered and says #2 of 2 and also Prototype #2 of 2!!
I just got one thing to say about that knife (Ohh, I got the MOA Sheath System with it too)...Anyway, and definitely giving credit where due...If you want a hardcore extreme knife for the Roughest of survival, then Get This Knife!!
It is indeed made Very very well!! And that MOA sheath system, again giving due credit...That idea is strictly Sam's!! And let me tell ya this...aside from any personal issue I had with the man...Sam's MOA Sheath System idea is Original, and Ohh man, what an Awesome idea it was. When I first got the knife and saw that sheath and how it's packed full of survival goodies and Even packed with a smaller knife...the sheath system idea was just plain ingenius!! What a great original idea!! The man Does really deserve 2 thumbs up for that!! And even if we still were at odds, I'd still very much say that about this man's sheath idea! It truly was/is an awesome original idea!!
Seriously, how many times have you been told to not talk about this here. SMH...
A weird peculiarity of many of the original Lile "Missions" (which I don't particularly care for) is that their handles are angled slightly upward: This is consistent and visible in most photos... The handle is straight and square to the guard, but the guard is set at a very slight downward angle to the ricasso...
Ha, yes I wanted to show they were no joke right off the bat. I need to redo the video and do less talking and more showing.

Thank you, Ian. I think my photobucket was running out of room awhile back and I cleaned some of my photos out.
Sam
Newt Martin does make a great knife, he is very ill right now. I hope and pray he heals up soon.
