The kinda unspecified CRK talk thread.

The struggle is real trying to let one go. Truth be known, I probably have 20 that needs to be moved along, but damn it’s not in me to that.
I feel better about keeping my six. After all, they occupy the correct number of slots in the CRK pelican case.

I don’t even think about a pelican case, it would cost me a fortune to house the ones I have. Ideally, I need to get to having around a dozen, don’t know if that will ever happen. Most of mine are lefty’s and wouldn’t probably sell anyway. That’s what I keep telling myself.

I don't know, guys. I might be done. No, for real though. Four years ago, I couldn't buy enough knives. CRK ended the search and now my interests have narrowed down to large Sebenzas. Hard pass on the other CRK folders. I don't even like small Sebenzas. Come to think of it, I don't even want micarta. Also, I'm not a damascus man. I guess I could add something in bog oak, but then I'd have to find another storage option.

I’m missing a UG, or at least a cool CGG. Something that speaks to me.
I’ve passed on a few that I beat myself over. Oh well, keeps it fun I guess.

I will own an Inyoni someday, if/when they make it to the wild.

I haven’t decided about the Mnandi or Impinda yet. I think I’ll need to see one in person before taking that plunge.

Honestly, nothing. I’ve acquired the grails, CCG’s that I wanted and will always be on the lookout for “The Catch” if the opportunity arises. It’s not a must have, but I’ve always wanted one.

I’ve just recently decided to collect again it will be a small 6-12 CRK only collection primarily focused on PJ work knives as that’s really all the interest I have.
At this point with a L21 inbound I’m most likely done for the year. The only thing I’m thinking I might add is a PJ 25 if I can find a clean one at BF price.
I’ll decide next year if I want to round out the smalls with a small Inkosi and a impinda and I’ll think about the 31s.

Kettleman Kettleman Looking forward to a group photo when that L21 lands! How is the threadlocker on that large inkosi?
Oh you can bet I’ll bombard this place with a group photo!!!

The thread locker seems to have done the trick. Solid as a rock. The large Inkosi never fails to impress me. If I ever go back to just one knife it will be it.

Have a great day!

I’ve gotten out of hand with this brand since Aug ‘21 with 11 CRKs.
I would love to add a lefty regular but I think that’s all. Maybe a lefty, L21 dog paw.
While I’m not ‘looking’ for more I have hard time passing up a good deal, like the Project One that just landed.

So I sent my NIB Magnacut Tanto Umnumzaan to CRK because they forgot to completely press the LBS into the scale when making the knife.
I get the standard we will call you in 4-8 weeks email. I stewed for a week and just shot them email asking if I was really placed in the spa / service queue with a brand new knife with a QC issue?
10 minutes later I get an apology email saying no that shouldn’t have happened and they will expedite the repair
10 minutes later I get a “ your repair is complete “ email to confirm my address
10 mins later I get a shipping notice!

I love CRK!

single thumb stud or double stud???
I prefer the cleaner, more streamlined look of the single. I can still open it with my off hand if I absolutely have to and I think the cutout on the lockbar side is just too small to make full effective use of having its own stud. Also just one less thing to get hung up on a pocket when putting it back in. Saving $30 on a feature I don't care for doesn't hurt either.

single thumb stud or double stud???
Double all the way for me. It was always about a looks thing until I cut my thumb a while back and had to open my knives with my off hand. I can thumb roll past the detent then use the stud to swing to lock and unlock.

yes ive always been a fan of the single more and never considered the double thumb studs. however when the 31 with double came up on the f/s, i picked it up and am eager to see. i doubt ill repeat the incident with the front flipper, but you never know.
