The kinda unspecified CRK talk thread.

Do y’all’s screws back out often on your 31s?
Yup, on three out of four of my 31s. I can't tighten them all the way or they are too tight to open. So, like other have said, I back it off a smidge with Loctite to set the action the way I like it, then let it sit for 48 hours to dry.

If I don't wait the two days, the Loctite doesn't hold and they start to loosen again.

I have one that behaves that way. I wonder if the pivot bushing is not quite tall enough. I've never been one to tune a Sebenza because I find that they all eventually break in , but I'm tempted to try a light washer polish. The theory would be that a very slight reduction in washer thickness might better match the bushing height.

My other six are gems. Two of them are easily flickable, although that's not really my thing.

I’ve seen a few youtube videos of guys doing that in an attempt to get drop shut action on their sebbies.

I could care less about drop shut and it’s not how I close any of my knives but I’m curious why it seems to be a sebbie sin to want to flick them open? I have nothing against the slow roll but just wonder why the flick seems to be frowned upon.

Cause I’m flicking away the second that puppy is broken in and ready! 😂

If u crank the pivot all the way and it gets stiff I'd try some washer polish/strop, worst that can happen is that u f u and need to send it in. Easy for u guys living in the US...

My goal would be to crank the pivot down and have a usable action, as stated well by 353 353 .

Couldn't care less about folding knife gymnastics. Pre 31 Sebenzas would theoretically wear out faster if routinely opened that way. Chris Reeve used to discourage it.

Just sayin'... 🤣

Haha, folding knife gymnastics! Good to know on the 21.

That is the philosophy behind the pivot bushing.

I can see that in some cases it needs a little tweaking(mine was perfect), but it's not rocket science.

Just go slow and take ur time slimming those washers down.

Anybody know how often they do the wc inkosi drops and what they retail for? Also what’s the best way of getting a heads up on the drop?

I am confident this can be without messing anything up and would have considered doing it when I eventually get a new seb. My son got a 31 in June, and it was fairly tight. He wished it was smooth like my decade-old 21. I told him it will break in over time and not to worry about it (though I wasn’t entirely certain this was true). As it turn out, after months of use, his 31 is at least as smooth as my 21 and drops shut. Completely tight pivot and smooth as glass. Pretty cool. It really did just break in naturally.

There will be no more WC knives. Wilson Combat is not selling them any longer. What’s out there is what’s out there. It’s why the prices climbed after the announcement last year.

The last run of Inkosi from 22 were it.
