The kinda unspecified CRK talk thread.

Just saw a wtb ad for a serrated sebenza but I’ve never seen one before. Do they do serrations and if so partial or full? I personally like serrations and would certainly be interested in one. If so does anyone have one? Can we see some pics?

I’ve also looked for one for a long, long while now. I think the serrated models had been discontinued for a while before the 21 was.

How do the serrations perform? They look much less aggressive or pointy than most other manufacturers.
Yes, less aggressive, but very useful. I’ve cut pex with mine. What I like about the CRK serration is that if you have a wide stone, the flats can be sharpened with the plain edge. Then a round tapered rod to clean the grooves. It cuts zip ties like nobody’s business. I
This is the only serrated blade I own, CRK did say that they would not be doing anymore serrated blades on the 21’s sometime before the 31 came out.
Don’t know if they’ll add them, there’s not but one way to find out.

Thanks for the info. I’ll check in with them tomorrow to see if they can be added.

So I’m traveling for work and not well connected. I check in just now to find not one but two small regulars sold on the exchange. I am going to tell myself they were fatally flawed somehow and I didn’t want them anyway.

EDITED: The podcast is quite good, gun and informative. Like they go in depth with ex. The conplexity of hollow grinding, metal warping. There is a small bit about the 21 and new materials.

The podcast is up on Steve Callaris insta. You guys ought to check it out, follow the link in my earlier post above.

I was actually going to say that if you want knife content, don't bother watching. A few passing remarks about knife making, but the discussion can be summarized with that great lyric of yore:

"A lot of beer, a lot of girls and a lot of cursin'
.22 automatic on my person"

And again:

"Got my hand in my pocket and my finger's on the trigger
My posse's gettin' big and my posse's gettin' bigger"

I don't use Instagram so I'm not sure if it was from the same podcast, but Tim Reeve recently showed off/discussed a new injection molded titanium Sebenza clip that he says they'll sell for around $40. I saw a picture/screengrab posted on Reddit.

edit: With all this talk of serrations lately, thought I'd let you guys know there's a large serrated Regular with double studs and a factory swedge on the exchange this morning. Pricey but awesome.

I remember him saying MOQ was like 20k units from their vendor. So there may be a chance to get one!

Final collection complete photos! I have 4 or 5 inlays still floating around trying to decide what to do with but this is the permanent Sebenza Collection I set out to build.
