The Knife Life (Minor Topics and Random Stuff Thread)

Been thoroughly enjoying my first carbon fiber knife

So AntDog, about the ESEE.....

I think I to have to retract my offer. I've been fondling it lately and I remembered why I liked it so much:D

I could replace it, but the character wouldn't be there. Ya know?

So, sorry about that, but she's staying with me for the time being;)

Cool skyline. I'll bet it's crazy light

I was tempted by one of those when they first came out.

CF is my one true weakness

I can see how that can happen. I've been eyeing the Benchmade 940-1 for ages now but this Kershaw is scratching my itch just fine for now.

Oh don't even get me started on the 940-1:rolleyes:

That thing has been tempting me since day 1. The only thing that's stopped me is the rediculous BM pricing. That's a 200 dollar knife, tops.

I know what you mean. I was inches away from spending the 180 on a regular 940 when the '-1' was released. Now I feel like if I buy the aluminum handled version I'm still going to want it in carbon fiber... I'm putting the decision off the the time being.

Hey, perfectly fine! Actually, I'm glad you want to keep it and use it. You've already put a few scuffs on her, so she's yours.

Thanks man, I knew you'd understand

Hey so I haven't heard from Dario today...... I guess he's just too busy working on the knife. Hopefully I get some new pics from him soon, I'm dying to see how the thing turns out.

Oh and cf stabby should be here Monday. Dude shipped within an hour of receiving payment:thumbup:
Everything seems legit with him. Good communication, positive feedback record on BF, accepted PayPal goods, speedy shipping, insured the package, etc etc.

No problem, I totally understand! So CF Stabby pics probably Tuesday or so? Can't wait to see it! CRK does a great job with their carbon fiber. It's always finished flawlessly. (But then again, so is everything else they put out)

What, no elderly jokes outta you Harris? I told ya fellas - I may be old school in a lot of aspects, but I ain't that damn old! :D

You're certainly an old timer on these forums though! 14 years??? Damn......

What was it like when this place was still filled with cyber dinosaurs?:D

It's changed, that's for sure. There's a LOT more people on here than there was then. I've seen a lot of friends come and go. Overall my experience here has been very positive.
This site has always been a wealth of valuable information, and a source of friendship and brotherhood.

So Zeta, have you done anything with the sage 2 yet?

Patience, Iago. Yeah, I'm working on getting the first color (blue) right. I'm working on a Sebenza 21 clip for a guy on my Instagram page as well, similar to the pocket clip insert on my DT Sebenza.

Pretty much just like it, on a whole clip, with slightly different colors.

Speaking of...

I still carry this knife more often than not.

Day one:

Cool, can't wait to see it.

Is the all blue stabby yours too, or a job you did for another member? Either way, it looks awesome:thumbup:

And nice pics of your DT. I love the looks of the knife art CF stabbys, but I just never really liked the whole idea of having an entire slab made of CF in lieu of the Ti.

I'm sure it's perfectly strong enough, but still...........

Thanks!. It was my first Sebenza. I bought a Small 21 plain Jane, used it a lot for a while, polished the show side scale to a satin finish, then eventually anodized it and sold it for a Large 21 plain Jane, that I also used plain for a while, then anodized.

Sweet looking blade!

Speaking of plain janes, I carried mine today instead of the wood inlay. Just felt like getting back to basics.

No pics unfortunately, but no one wants to see it anyway:p

All scratched up and with only half a blade
