Kris, you wanted me to post my 3/4 grind SnG? Can't find your original post now.
Yessir it is. Dealer exclusive, indeed. Thanks man. Cool knife, I enjoy carrying it from time to time. You know how I am, though. Same DT Sebenza most days.Nah, it's fine man. Will directed me to a Strider thread with your pics in it.
That's an awesome strider man! Is the white coating a ceracote? And it's an dealer exclusive right?

Grrrr. I hate when knife boxes exceed the limits of a priority small flat rate box. I'm looking at you, Hinderer. :grumpy:
Trying to ship it now means I have to go to the post office twice, once to get the bigger box and a second time to drop it off.
Just bring it with you and pack it in your car.
Man you're all over the place lately! What's the hurry? Just pocket the money and bide your time. Or...place your order for a Rucki and forget about it. It'll be a nice surprise in a little while (I had NO idea you wanted one of those! That was a shocker. I loooove mine. It's just such a fun blade. Not the best choice for some jobs, but you will definitely have fun with it!)
I can tell you first hand that CPM-154 is good stuff. My Varga custom "ol Vespy" has that blade steel, and I swear I can't seem to dull it. I cut sh!tloads of cardboard, paper, hard plastic strapping, and aluminum and plastic lined cardboard packages every day. It's pretty rough on most blades. This thing seems to get sharper when I cut cardboard with it. It's just amazing to me.
That Spydie looks badass! But, why no FFG? And hey, nothing wrong with big blades. They're more tools than trinkets. With some smaller knives I think "awwww, isn't this cuuuute? But almost nonfunctional (for me)"
Believe it or not, only thing on my "to buy list" is a Condor Golok. Pretty happy and well covered everywhere else.
That's definitely me (huge hands). I've heard some guys recommend the Rat 2 for EDC on here. My wife carries one all the time and the thing feels like a toy to me. Like slightly bigger than a Kershaw chive. For me, it's 3.5" blade on up for folders.
I didn't know anything about the Spydie. That was just my honest initial reaction. I'd rather have FFG in 99% of cases, and I thought you preferred it as well. Thanks for filling in the blanks!
I think you will be very pleased with CPM-154. It's turning out to be a first rate steel for me. I'm no expert, but it "behaves" a lot like A2 to me. But it stains less. That's a great thing to me because I love A2. And yes I'm aware that they're very different steels... But, it performs very much like A2 in my own personal experience. I think you'll like it!
I would take this opportunity to force yourself to use a slip joint. A case sodbuster shouldn't be hard to find and it's cheap. It seems you can get so much more quality packed into a cheaper package with them, and once you get over the hurdles of 2 hand opening and no clip you may never look back.
You could always pick up a gas station special![]()
