The Knife Life (Minor Topics and Random Stuff Thread)

Hit the nearest Academy and pick up a cheap imported Kershaw. Yes, you'll be "lowering your standards" but you just might find it works ok. Then give it away or send it home. I'd suggest a Clash. They really are nice for the price.
Best of luck no matter what you choose.

Lol, do I really come off that snobby? :p

Of course a kershaw would be fine. I would actually feel GREAT being able to carry something as good as a kershaw as for my "two day-then throw away" knife. Honestly though I'll probably just end up getting an SAK at a sporting goods place or something. Easier to find.

No not snobby, but when someone is used to carrying the type of knives you're used to, garden variety Kershaws might seem like punishment! An SAK would do fine I think. Have fun on your trip.

If you do get one don't throw it away!

Keyman finished the scales!

Check Big 5, looks like they have a Kershaw Brawler and Volt 2 on sale right now for $20. They usually have some CRKTs on sale also. That should be good enough to get you through a visit.

Alright so we got back from Denver last night. It was raining, but I still liked the area. Very cool architecture and great atmosphere.

Anyway, I never managed to pick up a cheapie to carry around. But going without a knife wasn't as bad as I was expecting. We were busy driving around most of the time, and didn't do much while we were there that could have been made easier with a folder. But it was still very satisfying slipping my stabbys back IWB when I got home:)

Right now I'm waiting on two knives, both of which were scheduled to be shipped out today. Keyman is sending my PM2 back to me finally, and the SNG is on its way from GPK. This should be a pretty good week in the knife life:thumbup:

Ah, but will the screws be indexed? That's a big concern on a knife like this. ;)

Wait what? Forgive me, I'm a little slow at this time of night
It's a joke man! It's where all the screw heads line up in the same position. It makes absolutely no difference at all.
I hope you didn't fire off a desperate email telling Keyman to make sure all your clip screws are indexed... Although, that WOULD be funny as hell! :D

Oh!

Lol, I had no idea what you meant by indexed. And no I didn't ask and don't plan to, as funny as that might be for you:D

Knife day!

The PM2 and SNG are both on the truck right now. Will update when I find them in the mailbox tonight.

A copious amount of pics will surely follow:D

I'm excited to see the Cf scales in person. Cf always look ten times better when you can tilt it around and catch the light at all the different angles
