THE "Knives on NCIS" Thread

Hi all. I've been a lurker on this thread for a while -- joined mostly for the discussion, here. ;)

Thought I'd post this screencap of the ZTs from the "Flesh and Blood" episode...

Man, I'd love to have one of those. :p

That must be a unit specific thing, I know reserve battalions have a little more leeway when it comes to special purchases. I have been a Seabee for 12 years and been in two active duty NMCB's and the only knife I was ever issued was a benchmade rescue hook. I have never heard of any battalions being issued leathermans. As far as the kabar goes, my last NMCB had a strict 5" blade policy. I did have a some POS gerber multi given to me at one of my commands, but it was not issued to me. It sounds to me like your daughter has a knife nut for a supply officer. I wish I was in her unit, I would definately not be turning away a wave or a kabar. BTW whats her rate, just curious. I am a UT.

I've told her that if she simply must, ah... *misplace* a Leatherman or a Kabar, to be sure to *misplace* it - or them - at my house! ;)

Kelli is a UT as well. I suppose someone in the Navy has to chase that stuff down the pipes... [insert evil grin here]

I have seen Ziva several times with MOD CQD. On one episode she was even trimming her fingernail cuticles with the beast. Then probbie came along, whipped it out of her hands to open a box!:jerkit:
I do not know where to get pictures of her and the beast!
But I would recognize a CQD anywhere. Most especially in the hands of a hot Israeli woman.

This is totally true. I saw that episode right after receiving my Blackhawk Mark I Type E. They had the automatic version of course. Also I think the blade on the auto knife is 440C as opposed to AUS8A on the Type E. But it was mos' def' a Blackhawk Mark I or II (the II being smaller due to not having a belt cutter).

I have not seen much of the show and did not read all of this but I do think it was a gerber emerson alliance and not a benchmade 9050. This is pretty neat!

Cool, When did she go through her A school at Sheppard? I ask because I am an instructor here, and I teach the basic plumbing blocks.

You're asking someone whose memory for dates sucks! I'll ask her for specific dates tomorrow, but not that long ago. If you recall a blonde girl who suffered multiple brown recluse bites while in training (& 5 at once), then that's her. Her friends call her 'Jojo'.

I think I would remember the spider bites, but the brown recluse is pretty prominant here. To be honest, I have been here just under a year and I have taught over 200 students...I teach Army Navy and AF

awaken o'mighty NCIS thread! :) did anyone see the commerical for NCIS? if so how many GIBB'S slaps were there? and have you ever been GIBB'S slapped? :D

There was a fixed blade knife that was the focal point of tonights episode: Season 7 Episode 22 ( darn season is almost over...bummer )....Cant remember the name of it ???

Evening, I was just watching a new episode of NCIS and Gibbs used a small knife and the blade was stripped like a zebra. Need help experts on what type of knife it was, gift for husband. Thanks, perhaps I can afford this one compared to the expensive Bare Grilles knife!

Tonight on NCIS one of the guys used a ZT to lift up the felt on the bottom of a safe. I swear it was a Kershaw ad!
