There is no Crusade. For that to be a viable talking point you would need to be able to point to the threads started by all your current sparring partners boasting how they hate Ganzo and are going to crush them. You won't find one of those.

Further; posters like you are much more like the idiot Peta activists & militant vegans. You know the ones who keep trying slip in their agenda sideways at the dinner table.

Perhaps "crusade" wasn't the best word. It's the responsive firestorm that springs into action whenever Ganzo gets mentioned. It's the unrelenting assault pushing the anti-Ganzo agenda in response to anyone who brings it up. It is like the vegan in my earlier analogy that pushes their anti-meat agenda fiercely whenever they see you eating a hamburger.

You are seeing my response to that. My response is to stand up to the mob with torches and try to have a conversation about their agenda. Explore the issues from a few different angles, put it into context, and see if quite so much fire was really necessary, much less constructive.

At this point, I just don't care anymore. I hate to admit it, but there is just too many of you and I can't keep up. Either I'm failing to adequately explain things or some of you just don't care. I feel like solid points I've made have either been ignored, glossed over, grossly mischaracterized, or just plain insulted. I've been insulted, personally. I really did my best here. I know this isn't a philosophy classroom but I guess I expected a little more from people who love the things I love. So y'all win. I'm beat. Congratulations on wearing me down. I just don't have the time or energy to continue this. I'm sorry if I let anyone down.

Why anyone would waste money on a Ganzo is beyond logic. For a few bucks more buy something worth owning.

Again, stay out of the analogy game. You are the one showing up to a stated "clones suck" environment and trying to convince us otherwise. Dear god this is real simple.

Everything you've said boiled all the way down comes back to justifying the purchase of Ganzo knives and that's something that many of us oppose for very solid, well thought out reasons that are based on the evidence we have available to us. Many people on these forums will dismiss your arguments out of hand, not because they don't understand them or because you're failing to make us see, but because we have heard them all hundreds of times before. To continue the Philosophy class analogy, in this environment you're the 101 lecture student who had their mind blown by Hegel and you're now very earnestly attempting to enlighten the professor about the greatness that you read.

Yeah reality can be unrelenting.

It is literally always there and it can't be simply bent to your will with a wish.

Chinese knives being a “gateway” knife for an beginner knife collector is a lame excuse. I say, if you can’t afford American or European knives, you shouldnt buy em. Better to save up and get a US made knife than just buying some crap ass junk from over seas (except Europe)

To be clear, you're not going to get a lot of anti-Ganzo folks to jump on that wagon. I don't agree with it at all.

I disagree completely. There are plenty of crap USA and European knives. Spyderco's finest knives are made in Taiwan. Crap can be made anywhere. The company decided what to make, not the country.

Let me tell my story.

For me knife purchase is a logistics challenge. I live in Asia. Buying from US sites is not an option, because if they ship directly to me it will be too expensive, and forwarding (postal) companies don't bring folders or fixeds except kitchen cutlery.

So, usually I was buying from BF members and asked them to ship using cheapest USPS rate (still 15-17$), but, unfortunately, someone overspent my paypal account and it is gone now.

Another route is asking a friend of mine who goes back and forth to US as a greencard holder couple of times a year. But then it is burdensome to ask him to carry a lot of items and etc.

So, knife purchase is really constrained in my location.

As an alternative I bought an Enlan EL-06 from a Chinese e-commerce site, and I received it in 35 days. I paid 14.17$, shipping included. And quality was really good. I gifted it to a friend of mine, hope he is enjoying it.

And I noticed that there are a bunch of new China-only manufacturers besides Enlan or Ganzo now.

So, buying quality D2-bladed Chinese knives can be a good alternative. Although sometimes postal service looses shipments from China or it takes 40 days. But I don't have luxury of choice.

Why does nobody come to Bucks defense when it comes to stealing their IP?
Kershaw, Kabar, Schrade, and I don’t know how many others have made knock off 110’s.

Your situation is unfortunate. Too bad Ganzo never tried to partner with the companies they decided to steal from. They could have made a deal to serve the markets that were out of the western markets reach with a simple licensing agreement and quality assurances.

Let's research it and find out transpired.
