It's not Melilotus indicus. Though the name Sour Clover seems very appropriate. I'll have to look up Sour Clover.

blood root it is very poisonous and has a blood like substance inside that oozez when broken ,can be used topically 4 anti fungal and warts. it eats skin slowly i think im trying some right now on a toe nail

Okay, here's some pics I snapped today in the park. This common plant can be found almost anywhere it's damp. Ditches, swamps, creekbeds, etc. Any water will do, fresh, salt, or brackish.

Parts of this plant can be eaten raw, while some require cooking. Various portions are compared to asparagus, cucumber, zucchini, or even corn on the cob.

The dry seed heads are cottony and excellent for firestarting, and the long leaves can be used for cordage and basket-weaving.
