The New 2014 BladeForums KNIFE Thread!

I'm relatively new here and I do not know any of the men doing the work on it but reading all the posts before me I can't wait to see what comes out. Thanks to all involved.
Mike

I think the plan as Charlie has laid it out sounds perfect. I hope everyone remembers the goal here is to produce a knife to satisfy the group, not the individual. Participate when asked, contribute, see what evolves, buy it if you like it, pass if you don't. Real simple process. Considering Charlie has the reins, a supply of stag and looking to get these out the door @ $100 already makes this one a winner.

I nominate this for 2nd place in the post of the year contest.
1st place goes to the OP.
Obviously.

Thanks for stepping up, this very kind of you and shows the spirit that is this forum. I am in and would love stag on just about anything. Am very glad that the west coast is now in charge! Steven

In Charlie we trust! Thank-you Charlie, Spark, John and everyone else involved! The annual BF knife should be a symbol of unity, not division.

I want to say thanks to all the people who are making this happen. Even if I don't like the knife and pass on it, I appreciate the opportunity.

Sounds like a winner in the making. Stag will make it a special knife, regardless of pattern. Thanks to Charlie and the crew that heads this up.

Thank you Charlie.
Thank you Lloyd for the stag.

I can't wait to see what creation you come up with Charlie, you are one of a kind sir.

I'm in for a 2014 knife. I've never purchased a BladeForums knife. How is payment made? Is it strictly paypal or will there be other payment methods?
Thanks.....Bruno

+1, I really want one of these when they debut but I don't have PayPal :o

In my enthusiasm to thank Charlie for taking this on, I forgot to thank Kevin, John Lloyd, Frank, Gary, Dave and anyone else pulling this together. As someone mentioned earlier, 2014 is going to be a very good year!

.... and I forgot to vote!

YES! STAG! :)

+1 This goes for me as well!

Charlie, what were you thinking pattern wise? Might I throw a suggestion out there? :)

First off, Thank You, Charlie!!

Second, I am all in on a BF knife, free stag just makes it that much sweeter. Thank You, Mr. Lloyd!!

Thanks to everyone involved for making this happen! Can't wait to see where we end up!
Best, Jim

Let's keep all the pattern suggestions etc in the earlier 2014 Forum Knife thread. I'm posting this to reinforce Charlies earlier post, not to chastise anyone;

"Please discuss specs, knife wishes, and proposals in the other forum knife thread! I know it is tough to hold back!!

Thanks for the encouragement thus far everyone! I am hopeful this will be a great process!

More comments please!!"

Thanks

My! 4 pages already! As has been said here but is well worth repeating THANK YOU Charlie!
If a dealer here at Bladeforums had not stepped up to take on this project there would NOT have been a forum knife this year. And in all likely hood not in future years. As many of you know Charlie has his hands full already making his own SFO's so everyone on the team will be very protective of him. :D He is taking this on because he loves Traditional pocketknives as much as anyone here & for some reason has grown attached to many of the fine folks that frequent this forum. There are many of us here who are fortunate to call Charlie a friend.

As for the Stag, how GREAT is that?? John Lloyd a knife maker on this forum DONATED all the Stag for this project! That sets him back a pretty penny! I know some folks would rather see something else for covers but how can we turn down such a generous offer and keep this knife @ $100 ?? All I can say is THANK YOU John! I hope I can repay your kindness someday.
I will try to field any questions from the troops to leave Charlie to do the important stuff and the Mods will keep it going in 1 direction as usual. Both Gary and Frank have a thankless job here without the forum knife and I really APPRECIATE their work for this forum.
Now with all that said I think Blademan put it best!

Sounds like a plan, will have to see what pattern is decided before I know if I will be getting one, but Stag sounds great and the price range is right on it sounds.
