The New 2014 BladeForums KNIFE Thread!

I think free stag will make for a reasonably priced 2014 forum knife and I'm in for one at least. Thanks so much Charlie for taking this on. We have a path forward and I am willing to follow it where it leads.

BTW, I'm not set on stag; I like bone and wood covers too. So, I'll be good whatever the cover choice may turn out to be.

Thank you Charlie and STAG! And thank you to everyone else involved. With Charles in Charge you know it's going to be good. :D

I own exactly one knife in stag, a "Courthouse Whittler" and it is a beautiful knife. The covers are beautiful and makes me smile every time I use it and someone says, "Excuse me, that is a nice knife". I have the forum knives for the last 2 years and would really like to have this years. Thanks to all involved in making this happen one more time, and to Frank & Gary whom are good people. ;)

Charlie,

Thank you for putting the 'Tradition' back into the Bladeforums knife
The whole feel of the project
Back to an affordable $100 knife

And Thank you to all those folk who are making this happen

Thank you to everybody involved. I have a couple of Mr. Lloyd's stag offerings, and will most likely purchase a knife unless totally out of my comfort zone! I am glad to see things move forward, and am very thankful for the gracious offer of stag.

Wow, this is the kind of thing that made me go from lurking to registering and posting. I'm a big fan of stag, and an even bigger fan of stag for 100 dollars or less. I'm in. Huge thank yous to everyone involved.

This great news... :)

Thanks to all that are involved on this great project. Once more you guys are just great.

I just wanted to stop buying knives, the last one for a long while should be the Charlow I ordered some days ago - but this is just a too great offer. So I´m definitelly in for one! :)

You must be joking!!?:D My eyes are playing tricks on me.This will be a unique and beautiful creation on many levels.I'm very happy you have taken command of the project in your own way.Even if its north of a hundred bucks I'm in anyway.
cheers,thanks and best wishes .

Fantastic news Charlie :) It is typically generous of you to step in and offer your time and experience. Also John Lloyd of course. Hopefully this year's knife will truly represent the Spirit of The Porch! :D :thumbup:

Sad to see a bit of whining starting already, hopefully that will be curtailed, and the 2014 Traditional knife will be a most positive experience for everyone, particularly Charlie and the others volunteering to help with this project :thumbup:

Charlie, thanks for the task you are about to take on, I mean it from my heart and you know I do, anything I can do to help, be it labeling, strong arm work, in case someone whines I can take over to the Cove and explain the error in their judgment. ;)

Looking forward to the process as usual now off to read the 3 pages of posts on this thread so I can get up to speed :) .

First off thank you to the guys giving their time and effort to make this possible this will be my first bf knife. How will payment and ordering take place? Im sorry if that has been covered alreay this is my first year here so i dont know how its been in years past. Also do we need to pre order/pay to ensure we get one? Thank you all again this place is great i feel like you are all my friends even though i have never met any of you im very excited to have a knife from here

Let's keep all the pattern suggestions etc in the earlier 2014 Forum Knife thread. I'm posting this to reinforce Charlies earlier post, not to chastise anyone;

"Please discuss specs, knife wishes, and proposals in the other forum knife thread! I know it is tough to hold back!!

Thanks for the encouragement thus far everyone! I am hopeful this will be a great process!

More comments please!!"

Thanks

Ok, my apologies Gary!

I don't think I have to say it, with 7 already at different times being carried in my pocket since 2006 and the Twistring Canal Street Cutlery pen we had done.

I'm in no matter what. :) ;)

Thank you Charlie and thank you John for the free stag!!! This will be a great knife, I'm all in😁

Ok Folks, I don't want to clutter up this thread with my "PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC MESSAGES". The topic being;

"We are not home yet, because I need some feedback and approval from you folks.
The past projects have been a lot of work, time-consuming and tedious, so I am going to propose a streamlined method.
I am going to ask you all to consider that, with a few advisors here, and after duly reading the proposals so far in the other thread that has been flowing along for some weeks now, we propose 4 to 6 choices in a poll, and you tell us which you want."

So...If you've posted your desire for a particular pattern, steel, size, etc in this thread and your post is mysteriously missing, you will find it here 2014-Forum-Knife

Thanks for your cooperation.
