The New 2014 BladeForums KNIFE Thread!

I believe Point Washington is where he gets all the knives delivered. He ships all the knives to the US from there.

Regards

Robin

I, for one, have the utmost confidence in Charlie Campagna and his extraordinary vision when it comes to producing a high quality, traditional knife. That said, I'll take two! Whatever the final decision, I'm positive it'll be a dandy!

THANK YOU CHARLIE!!!

Answers. In the interests of clearing up some misconceptions::confused:
>I live in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
>I am an American citizen, married to a wonderful Canadian woman.
>My children (now adults) have dual citizenship.
>I ship and receive knives in Washington State, so the knives don't have to cross the border twice, requiring a small forest's worth of paperwork!
[This sometimes creates waits (like now) for people to get their knives from me, so I am trying to change over to placing most of my knives with U.S. dealers.]
Now you know everything Google knows about me!

Here's my request!
If you have a collection of all the previous Bladeforum knives, can you post it in two places? Here in this thread, and, in an email to me??
It will help me greatly in dealing with the cutleries who are bidding on our Knife! I know longer have them all, having given or sold a few away.
Thanks!!

This is wonderful news that Charlie has agreed to take on the 2014 forum knife project. Thank you charlie, and associates for taking on the project.

I for one am very happy to hear that the profit margin has been removed from the traditional knife project equation. The profit component had never been part of the traditional forum knife in the past except for the last.

In terms of recommendations, how bout a multi blade utility, stag covers, with a high end stainless, say something like 12C27, ats-34, or CPM-154.

There is no more Blade Forums, we are now GoogleKnife

But yes please and thank you Charlie, whatever you do is golden.

the first hint of the Google Deal was here on 3/5/14

Last year's knife was a major pain in the derriere for the mods and the design team, both on the forum and behind the scenes. The path forward on this year's knife has a major additional roadblock compared to the previous two years. I will not elucidate on that at this time.

However, I will talk to Gary this week and discuss whether we want anything to do with such a thing.

Charlie - I have taken this picture from one of "T. Erdelyi's" (Ted) threads. Hopefully, Ted will not smack me about too much for it. The picture shows all but the 2013 Blade Forum knives. Perhaps an PM from you to Ted could get you more precise info.

Ted - If you have a problem with me posting your picture, go ahead and chastise me in the open forum. Sitting here waiting for a hand to come out of my computer screen and back-slapping me.

Where are you anyway Ted? I haven't seen you post in the last few days.

I say let the artist work his magic. Give the artist the latitude to make changes so that it ends up a true work of art. Seems to have worked for Charlie in the past;). Let his creativity run! I trust his judgment. I'm in.

Well said. I totally agree

I know I'm new to these parts but wanted to say thanks to Charlie for stepping up and taking charge of this thing and I'm definitely in!

>I live in Vancouver, British Columbia,
Vancouver .... LOVE Vancouver! I dream of Joe Fortes all the time. The first time we went there our Canadian friend introduced us to the host and told him we where from Maryland. He said "Then you don't want to get the crab cakes". Oysters that night.

Relative new here, but THANK YOU Charlie for all your effort!

I've been sitting on the sidelines enjoying the thread. :) this ain't my first rodeo. ;) No problem share away.

Charlie, gimme a couple of days, (I have physical therapy tomorrow and a docs appointment Thursday) and I'll take a better pic and email it to you, let me know what you want, just knives, knives and artwork, all together, a few at a time together, just let me know and I'll take 'em Friday or Saturday. Anything I can do to keep this moving just let me know.

What fantastic news. On behalf of everyone I just want to thank you directly. It surly is a selfless act of kindness and we all appreciate it.

As far as the knife goes, FREE STAG????? Oh hell yea! That is so nice to hear. Things are looking up and I am ecstatic. Can't wait to see the poll of the designs chosen.

I have missed out on having a forum knife. Please sign me up for 1 possibly 2. It is a real honor to have this opportunity.

THANK YOU CHARLIE!!!

So that Barry also receives recognition for his part in this project, he has graciously offered to package and ship all the forum knives sold. Which was going to be a BIG pain for someone like me who is not set up for shipping. THANK YOU Barry!
As many of you folks know Barry has been involved with Charlie on some of Charlies SFO's. I understand he has helped with the art work on some Charlows & I'm pretty darn sure he is 1 of the dealers that Charlie is selling his SFO's thru!
Credit where Credit is due!! :D
