Look great guys! Mine looks very similar to yours Elo. Here was the test blade that I did awhile back. I tweaked it a little bit but its similar.

They all look good so far. Im looking forward to trying them out!

I can't wait to see these! This will be my first time to see a knife by several of the makers entered into this in person, it should make for an awesome weekend. Can we call dibs on a knife in advance? (Rick, I'm looking your direction!)

Okay guys I better get the fire burning and set a personal deadline when I need to be done otherwise I may end up procrastinating myself right out of the contest, (this also goes for all you procrastinating :D )....

I'm going to profile it tonight and have it roughed in by tomorrow and will have it shipped by Monday the 22nd... at the latest..

There now I feel a little better showing some self discipline :p

I got my heat treated blank ground today, and will be gluing handles on tonight. Hopefully will have some pics to show late next week.
This will be the third I have made. The first one broke trying to straighten and the second I was not happy with the grind. Third times a charm?.

I forged mine out today. It is a hopped-up variant of my Guppy model. 1084 steel with copper and wrought.

Got mine glued up tonight, should have it finished tomorrow! Congrats on the marriage Bruce!

I love it when you guys use the true super-steels.

1084 gets a bad rap from it's label as a beginner/simple steel. It is a high performance steel that just so happens to be a perfect eutectoid... which means even the most basic heat treat can achieve great results.... That truly is a super steel in my books.

I agree. It gets a really fine edge as we've seen from your blades. That is my idea of "super steel".

Well here is my entry. I wanted to come up with something new that would not excel at any one thing but would be good for foodprep as well as bushcrafting. I tried to grind the edge between a woods knife and a chef knife so that you could rock the blade and not hit your knuckles. It might be a total failure but it was fun to do something different! This one is convex ground out of 1095 with some really nice Koa with black G10 liners.
