The ultimate knife movie.

"Conan the Barbrian".., simply because I like most things Jody Samson ever made.

"The Edge".., because of all the reasons mentioned previously.

"The Professional".., as also mentioned.

The Rambo Movies.., because let's face it .., most of us have this small part of our psyche that would enjoy evading Police and Military units.., carrying and using exotic weapons, and basically wiping out small rural towns in the name of "Truth, Justice.., and the Amercian Way".. :) ~~> While carrying and using a prohibitively huge Bad-Ass knife!

"Hunters seek what they [WANT].., Seekers hunt what they [NEED]"

The Edge was a great movie, one of my fav's. I've got to go with Cyborg as my all time favorite knife movie. I'd say Highlander is the best sword fighting movie by far. There are others that deserve honorable mention, but the first Highlander movie was the ticket. :D

Have any of you seen "The Blood Of Heroes"? There arent any knives, but it's some good post apocolyptic combat action.

dunno if its any good, but I've seen the trailer for a new movie coming up called The Hunted, or something like that. Stars Benicio Del Toro as a psycho hunter who kills with knives and Tommy Lee Jones is the arms master who trained him. The trailer itself didnt look all that interesting tho, but it could feature great knife fights. Maybe something to look forward to :)

I will add my voice to those that have voted for The Iron Mistress. This movie was a huge factor in adding to the popularity of the bowie knife. There are still makers that are producing their own versions of the famous knife from this movie.

Predator also had some great knives in it. That big ass bowie that Billy Sole carried was outstanding.

Blood of Heroes, damn, I forgot that movie even exsisted.

Was the girl Joan Chen ?

Crouching Tiger...

Or did someone already say that?

I didn't see this one listed "Brotherhood of the Wolf" but I just saw it recently. There are some very cool fight scenes. It definetly requires some rewind time.:)

Sorry I haven´t read all the thread, has anybody mentioned Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves ?, there´s the cute little dagger and that big scimitar, I sure wish I could throw one of those like when they kill the old witch.

Well, finished reading the thread and noticed only one mention of Crocodile Dundee, that´s not a knife, This is a Knife !!.

I think you guys would enjoy reading Garcia Lorca:

"Knives of gold go to the heart by themselves, those of silver cut the throat like a piece of grass".

"Other knives are warm and afraid of blood, the ones we make are cold, do you understand ?, they go in looking for the hottest place and there they stop".

Sorry if my translation is not that good, I am a native spanish speaker and am quoting this from memory.

Does anyone remember the Steven Segal movie "On Deadly Ground"? In this movie Segal uses a knife to cut some wrapping of some C4. Can anyone identify this knife? It looks VERY cool. The scene I am mentioneing is about half-way through the movie.

My favorite would be The Iron Mistress. I can't find it anywhere on video or dvd, has anybody found it anywhere ? I would love to see it again.

New favorite- The Gangs of New York.

"No, son, never; the blood stays on the blade. Someday you'll understand."

Many of my favorites have been mentioned (especially The Edge), but would like to add Last of the Dogmen.
Although it isn't the "ultimate knife movie", it does portray the knife, a very nice full tang utility/hunter, as a person's important tool and a very valuable possesion.
Will have to check out the Exposure film, don't think I have seen it.

How bout the intro in Leon?

Jean Reno's arm slides out from behind the target's back and holds him up. Also, he has a line in the movie that goes something like "you will learn the knife last, the closer you can get to your target, the better" or something like that. Sorry if this was listed before, but I loved the movie so thought it was worth mentioning.

Also, if anyones interested, check out Nikita. Its also directed by Luc Besson, great movie, but doesnt feature any knives. Plenty of guns tho :)

"Scream" they used a buck knife to gut Drew Barrymore in the first screen and I though she was the star.

Hey...
No Question--THE HUNTED is by far the very BEST Knife movie ever!!

after that? i liked Rambo, too!

"I will teach you how to Kill!"

The Hunted
