The "Whatever" Thread

congrats Cooper -- I'm hoping for some of that kind of luck this weekend myself.

yup.
and it's only 147 yards from the back deck to the far side of the pond where the mineral block lives. :D
not particularly sporting - but hopefully an easy and inexpensive way to fill the freezer.

That mineral block is also verboten her in Illinois (Baiting)

Congrats on the first deer Cooper, you will never forget that morning!

Going to try one more time Sunday, I missed :grumpy: what would have been my best buck ever on 1st day of season!(Darned tree jumped in the way!)

Hah,that happened to me on the best buck I ever drew a bead on too.
Them darn trees are sneaky like that.

Hey John, thanks for giving me your head cold.
I'm dripping,sneezing & congested,lucky me.
that's what I get for hanging around with sick people I suppose...

Froze in the shop this morning, but got 3 JK PS Knives, a CBK, a slightly longer Toby`s Knife V 2.0, a Bowie, and a C/U-6 all profiled out and pin holes drilled.

Woke up this morning with no power and it's like 13 degrees outside. I walk over to the thermometer and it's still 68 degrees in the house. Then I thought to myself damn I'm glad put that wood stove in! Still no power and still about 68 degrees in here

The deep freeze is over for us over here.
Temps got into the teens a couple of times, but it's going to be in the 40s with rain for the rest of the week.
Back to normal in other words.

Glad you got the wood stove grunt!

It was 2 degrees in the shop this morning, up to 7 degrees now! Time to put my shorts and tee shirt on!

Congrats on the deer Coop.
Pics!!!

John, I think it was that warm the last time I spent a little time in your shop. Cold weather in your shop is better than a hot day nearly anywhere else.

Snowing outside right now...pretty nippy out. Don't mind being inside at work too much today...

Congrats on the deer Coop.
Pics!!!

Thanks!

I only took a crappy cell phone pic, not really worth sharing.

However, I will post pics when I cook her up, they will be much better than a photo of a bloody corpse.

Chicken fried back strap with white gravy and mashed potatoes. My mouth is already watering.

no deer sightings this weekend -- but it wasn't just me, because I didn't hear anyone else pull a trigger, either.
with luck I'll get out of work early enough to try again Saturday or maybe get out early Sunday before SWMBO and I head to kansas City for some holiday shopping with friends.

Good luck 1066vik, hope you snag one before the festive shopping!

It's cold outside for sure! My treadmill is on the fritz and I had to run outside tonight. My face and toes are frozen and my shirt is dripping wet from sweat, quite the extremes..lol!

You guys should check this out it's really cool video. I often wonder how people think of this stuff lol

I will post pictures this weekend - but my great friend and knife maker Mr. JK sent me a wonderful gift to celebrate the occasion of my starting up my own business - A custom knife with my business acronym stamped into the blade!!

I'll leave you all in suspense until I get some pictures, but suffice it to say, it is a wonderful JK and a great gift that will be with me for the rest of my life.

Thanks John!!!!
