Very awesome!
Interesting difference between the Fire Ant & Carpenter Ant colonies.
They sure would look good in bronze...

Lot`s of snow this morning, with more to come. Driving The Boss to work in a few minutes.

I will post pictures this weekend - but my great friend and knife maker Mr. JK sent me a wonderful gift to celebrate the occasion of my starting up my own business - A custom knife with my business acronym stamped into the blade!!

I'll leave you all in suspense until I get some pictures, but suffice it to say, it is a wonderful JK and a great gift that will be with me for the rest of my life.

Thanks John!!!!

best

You are welcome, glad you like it.

Light snow on the ground this morning, made for a great hike. The woods are so serene with the white blanket.

Last two days here on the gulf coast, it was in the thirties at night.. mid forties with wind chill during the days. Then today, it started out at almost seventy.. with ninety percent humidity. Sheesh. Way to ruin whatever acclimation I started to have.
Wonder if it will be thirties tomorrow.
Sigghh..

Not only is the DBH a great defensive tool, it is an effective snow measurement device.:D

As you can see, we have a fantastic road commissioner around here.:grumpy:

The road is between the fence and the treeline on the right.

Very peaceful, staring out my shop window at all the big snowflakes coming down.
I love watching big fat snow flakes coming down.....

Love the second pic!

love the pictures andy, we live on the same road as the guy who cleans off the roads on this side of the county, our road is pretty well clear through the season :)

it's not snowing here yet but ti did decide to rain which is sure to be ice by the morning, nice

nice Jeff. I was in the snowy woods all day myself. good job on the JD...and the fire.

It's a great spot. Two miles from home, one hundred yards from the car, right on the bank of the Huron River and I had the place to myself.

i like the river pic. i should have built a fire.

here i am up top. i jumped two doe a half mile back and trailed them into real thick stuff to the left of the camera. very rocky. very thick. and if they pushed, the road and farm are too close. i had to let 'em go.

you can't get a feel for the pitch on this. it's steep. all boulders and down trees back here. real fun when covered with snow.

get a better feel for it here. i walked all day up and down this stuff. i only fell 3 times though...not bad! :D

trailed those two doe back up that stuff later in the day. never caught up to 'em though. just as well, cuz i would have been preeeetty pissed. when i went to "unload" (last day today), it took 3 caps to make my gun go boom. must have been full of snow.
