The "Whatever" Thread

What is Sogetsu? Another Japaneses fish hook maker?

He was a younger guy who used to come to all the gatherings, and usually ended up cutting himself. The last one he showed up for was a few years back in Michigan, where he decided to show us he could chug the last couple of inches in a Jack Daniels bottle. Ended up hurling all over the cabin steps. Have not seen him since.

Ha ha, those types of people do provide a form of comic relief. At least when they're young...it's really not quite the same when we old guys perform the same antics.

Ive grown accustomed to having two beers after all the kids are gone to bed. Look forward to it actually.
That's my time of day to finally slow down, sit down and relax a bit... Then go to bed!

Let's not forget about the pepper powder incident...

Does anyone besides me love hawks hatchets and axes we should start a thread lol. Couple well used JKs in the mix also.

I got my first axe on its way to me.
I bought a Council Tool Velvicut Boy's Axe.

I looked at Gransfors but I didn't want to send my money overseas.

Will bring my collection (2 pieces) of LIVELY LAD FISH AXE's to the Gathering. Somebody bring a drool bucket

Council tools makes some great stuff. I get most my stuff used and just haven't seen any for sale.

Grans are the sharpest hatchets I have ever seen. I really like wetterlings also. Bought and traded a few of them also.

I do, and I know outdoorsfan, KYenglish, and jds1 all do too.

Why yes I do!

I really love the Boy's Axe in these pics. It's a refurb that I did last winter ($8 from a flea market). It also sports some sweet JK leather pants.

Nice axes!! I always look at antique stores and flea markets but I never find cool stuff lol

I dig that JK too! What model is that

I'm kind of a collector but I heat with nothing but wood so all mine get used and used well. Along with my trusty sthil lol. Even though a saw and hydraulic press are easier I still like to do a good amount by hand
