The "Whatever" Thread

I believe Illinois is the most complicated state to get one in (and probably one of the most costly) , 16 hours of classes including range time. The upside is that it allows carry in 24 states.

Of course it is. If you say "FOID" to someone in any other state they will likely have no clue what you're talking about.

Wow, reading y'alls horror stories makes my permit experience seem like a dream. It cost me about $75. No courses, just a background check and about a 3 week wait.
I typically carry everywhere but the post office. I even had a teacher on the first day of class in a (weapon free)tech school say while going over the "school shooter" drill that she won't be checking waistbands because she will be relying on those who conceal carry.
It is times like this when I really appreciate the south.

So, I know there are a few Buck lovers here in the JK subforum. Is anyone else excited about the 110 in 5160? I have been hoping for a 110 in carbon for quite a while.
I ordered one in oak.

I'm a huge 110 fan, I've got around 16 and three of those are from the custom shop. I've got a 110 with oak, nickel bolsters, and BG-42, which they no longer offer.

I saw the local "Mart" had the 110 for $27 a few weeks ago when I was there. I need to go back and see if they've marked it any lower.

$27 is a pretty good deal.
I've been thinking lately. I would really like to get a copper framed 110 and get someone to heavily modify it by putting some ebony slabs on it, replace all the rivets with pins, possibly put a drop point blade in it, and slightly slim and round the bolster to make it easier on the pocket when I decide to pocket carry it.
This is all just a dream that will probably never happen, but I'd bet it would make for one sweet knife.

$27 is a steal for a new 110 -

I have a small collection, the Buck 110 was the first real knife I ever bought.

I just bought my first Yellowhorse knife, a buck 110 customized like only David Yellowhorse can do....

After I lost my first 110, I went to the 112, which is smaller and a little lighter.

When I was in high school eons ago, a lot of the guys had Bucks on belt sheaths.

I still have a few, and I even have a 110 that Mr. K put new scales on - he does a very nice job of custom scales for Buck folders if y'all did not know.....

If you sell one or 2 knives from the series is it really a bad idea? I think you have to realize that its late October people are saving money for Thanksgiving and Christmas. But a knife sold is a knife sold so can't really be a bad idea imo.

On to of what Grunt mentioned, it is also the end of most people's hiking and camping seasons.

One more reason I'm glad I did what I did today. I applied for a seasonal job at Super Target (not the Target Connie works at), and will know if I got it in a week or so.

None of the Budget Series have sold, and only 1 PSK.

It's time to start looking for a different place to market my knives. I've already tried BCUSA and the USN, with no success. Not sure where else to try.
