The "Whatever" Thread

Happy Birthday to your little girl! I was at Chuck E. Cheese for Emily`s 6th birthday on October 31st. I forgot how much fun it is.

Happy Birthday to your mini!
We had the wind yesterday, but no rain.
this morning it's fairly calm, crisp, and clear.

Happy B day!

My middle boy will be three in January.

Those little folks sure can come up with some stuff, cant they!

My list is: 10, 3, and 10 months. All boys.

They already pester and aggravate eachother on purpose. Even the baby tries to wrestle with the big boys.

Actually only the youngest (Alison), is my biological daughter, but since I raised Angie since she was 8, and Becky since she was 3, I consider them all mine.

I got that G Fred Asbell jacket in last weekend. Extremely fast shipping. Wore it some over the last few days and I like it a lot.

Although it isn't as heavy as I was anticipating, it was been comfortable (after I got used to the initial itchiness of the wool). As a test, I put on a Columbia fleece jacket under the wool and went for a windy and chilly (about 40F) ride on the four wheeler. I was extremely impressed with how warm I stayed. Going to add another layer or two and try it out next week during deer season.

throw a "windbreaker" layer over the top of the wool and I think you'll be impressed.

How's the fit? Does it itch with a long sleeve tee underneath? You say it wasn't as heavy as you were expecting, which weight did you get? Hope to hear more good things about it.

Busy day so far. Kept the girls overnight, need to wake them up at 6, Becky will pick them up at 7 to take them to school. Went out to the shop at 2:30, got some handles rough shaped, still need to hand sand them. Taking Penny to the vet at 9 for her annual shots, then Connie gets home at 11, then we have errands to do. Taking tomorrow off to do a short road trip, then back in the shop Sunday to make some kydex sheaths so I can ship knives on Monday.

Good idea. I am going to try to find a fluorescent orange windbreaker.

Fit is good, maybe a little big. The sleeves come unhemmed, so they can be made perfect. It is a little long, but I would rather have it long than short. I got an extra heavy weight zipper jacket in Timber Ghost. I think my expectation of weight had something to do with the fact that I have read a lot stuff about wool in general being heavy and bulky. I have not worn it with a long sleeve shirt underneath, but it doesn't bother me with a short sleeve t shirt under it. It took just a couple minutes for me to get used to the feeling of wool on my skin.

it's only heavy and bulky compared to all the fleece soft shells out there these days.

Thanks for the information. I was a little concerned about the sleeve length but feel better now. Might have to drop the wife a Christmas gift hint;)
