The "Whatever" Thread

Happy new year to everyone! Cold as all get up today and supposed to get much colder with a heap of snow the next couple of days!
 
Up at 5:30 this morning to do the driveway, and need to hit it again after work. Gonna get real cold tonight...Brrr
 
Another 6" of snow through tomorrow, then a possible -40 with the wind chill on Monday.
 
Yikes! It's about -5 outside right now. Woke up to a cold house this morning. The battery on the thermostat died overnight, coldest night of the year. Figures...

Heat's back on and we're thawing out now. Stay warm, everyone.
 
It is going to start snowing here in the next few minutes - and then a high of -10 on Monday.

Been snowing here for a while.

Supposed to get 2-5". Last time they said that, it turned into dang near a foot.:D
 
We received around 5 inches - it is not snowing very hard here today - but it is blowing good.

I'll get the snow blower fired up and go out and have some fun in a little while.

MAggie and I are just watching the birds at the feeder and enjoying some coffee and quiet.

I`ve shoveled my driveway, and cleaned off the car twice. Also shoveled two of the neighbors driveways, two older women. It`s kind of cool being the "young guy" in the neighborhood! The young people on our block are all assholes, they would not think of helping anyone else out. Still snowing steady and starting to blow. I`ll drive Connie to work in the morning, then come home to heat treat, then pick her up at noon.
 
The only good part about the cold weather is that Connie makes some great soups! Yesterday she made a big pot of chicken, broccoli, and cheese soup. Nothing better than hot soup with warm French bread to dip in it!
 
Lightening up quite a bit here. Maybe 5" here too.
Probably will fire up the four wheeler and plow the drive before it starts getting cold.
 
we got 4-5" of powder. the sun just came out, so i need to shovel off the back deck before it softens up and starts packing.
once the drive has some texture to it I'll fire up the tractor and scrape it.
temp is holding steady around 8-10.
 
This is off the front porch facing east, and the way to work tomorrow.

I live in a small valley, and the wind is blowing pretty bad. I can only imagine how badly it is drifting up the hill.

Only a couple vehicles gone by today. Makes me really regret getting rid of my Explorer.
