The "Whatever" Thread

Howdy guys! Bit cool down here but still warm enough to spear without shivering!

 
In the summer time, I see dust tornadoes in unplanted fields.

This is the first time I've seen a snow tornado.

No hill for a climber. I am shocked at how many people "couldn't make it" to work today.

I wonder how they are all going to walk their poodles today?

When I was a kid, you did not get a trophy for 5th place.

When we pulled into Target at 3:45 this morning, there were only 2 other cars there. Speaking of walking poodles, when I take Penny out (the Bassett Hound) she bounces through the snow like a big bunny rabbit!

The plow just went through, otherwise I had no chance of getting out today.

We'll see if the road drifts shut again before I have to leave for work..

The Fusion is not much of a drift buster.:D
 
this is what i get for laughing at all you northerners, went out this morning and my nose, ears and fingers nearly froze off. There's a light layer of snow (more like wind blow ice) on the ground and the weather tells me it feels like -14F (sF.) Time to find a balaclava!

I'm one of those who stayed home this morning.
-14 out of the wind and in the sun, figured it would be dangerous for the dogs to kick them out while the WC was -30 to -40, especially the 11 YO short haired husky mix with arthritis and cancer...
 
Lol, funny stuff...

It's raining and in the 40's today, should be interesting when everything freezes back up.
 
Global warming is in effect in New England. It is 57°F right now. I might put on my shorts and T-shirt and go out for a walk.:D
 
by the time I was done running to the post office, sweeping off the car & truck, moving them into the sun, and scraping the drive it was up to +6!
 
Speaking of dogs and cold. Karen and I have been talking about getting another pooch when I can finally get off the road. Hopefully that will be next year. We both insist on another Dachshund of course but I want one to hunt with. We've decided that for our climate and the type of stuff I like to do that we're getting a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I hope I have the energy to keep up with him while I train him.

Good luck with that Mack.
As sedentary as I've been lately I'd probably have a heart attack trying to keep up with a pup while training it.

Me too. That's why I'm trying to get some exercise lately. I need to be ready. I think the coast and river are going to be perfect though. As long as I don't get lazy.
