Flat tire on the way home from work today:( Changing a tire in sub zero temperature is not a good time! Finally starting to get feeling back in my toes... Stay warm out there guys!

I had to replace the starter in my old Chevy Van while camping one winter with temps in the teens.
Working on a vehicle sucks,but the cold sure makes it worse.
Glad you made it home ok Trev.
 
holy cow it's cold. -15 is the last temp reading the weather gave us. snow drifts of 4.5 feet. I put in work for the pregnant wife and got her some cherry pepsi and twix for the little one. also picked up some essentials while out lol (beer ftw) stay safe everyone.
 
had to cut up some wood tonight, swinging an axe in sub-zero is...interesting :)

It`s starting to warm up here, it`s +2 right now, and will be in the 30`s with rain this weekend.
 
it's cold enough here that power is going out in some areas and the electric company is asking folks not to do any laundry or turn their heat up (so many turning the heat up so much is over welling them apparently and causing the power failures.) We're just not as prepared for the cold as states that get it worse I suppose.
 
I was a little disappointed, we got the cold temps and wind chills well below zero but barely got any snow! That would of made for some nice scenery to go along with the temps (and I'd be able to track some critters thru the snow). The kids winter break got extended by two days because of this weather. We have a warm up coming by the weekend with rain in the forecast.
 
It was no joke out there today but I still had fun with the little one. We built several snow forts. Huge differance between outside and inside the snow shelter.

I guess it`s been too cold for the mail, none delivered for the last two days. Finally took my letters and dropped them off at the box outside the PO this morning.
 
Very cool, grunt, the snow we have it just a thin layer caked on the grass, it does look pretty though :)
 
It's fun. We build one every year if we get a good snow. Usually we sleep in it one night just for fun also. But usually it's a little warmer than it has been also. She wants to make a bigger more elaborate one today so we will see how that goes lol. Be safe out there everyone.
 
Glad everyone is surviving/thriving through this cold snap. I'm not sure what the lowest temperature has been here this week. We've been inside since Monday morning and preoccupied..................I'll tell you more when we return home, BIG news coming:thumbup:

we are supposed to get an ice storm Thursday night/Friday morning followed by a high around 50 on Saturday.
