The "Whatever" Thread

glad to hear he's okay, fishhiker, hope he's back on his feet soon

thansk for the picture update john, always great to see their smiling faces :)

Just got back from checking out the new gun shop and range with Connie. Good prices, friendly employees, and a good selection. Also have quite a few rentals. One thing I thought was good was if there is a gun you are interested in, and they have it in the rental section, is that they will give you 5 rounds of ammo and let you try it for free. Plus it's about 8 minutes from home.

That's a nice deal - Email me the name of the shop and I will add it to my list I provide to people "post class" -

Thanks -

great pic of the kids John -- if Hannah keeps growing like she has been, she could have a future in Volleyball.

I was surprised when my wife called me at work yesterday rather than texting. When I answered she was crying so bad I could barely understand her. She finally calmed down enough to tell me she was on her way to the hospital with our son. His pediatrician wanted blood work and x-rays. I told my supervisor I had to go and left work immediately. I stopped by our home long enough to grab a clean shirt and change vehicles. As I was pulling into the hospital she called back(for the 10th or 20th time) and told me they were done. I didn't get out of my truck only circled the parking lot and headed back home. By the time we got there the doctor had called and said it was only bronchitis. I was unbelievably relieved but I don't know how I will handle her if anything serious ever happens to our little one.
Bronchitis ain't no walk in the park, especially for a young child.Glad it wasn't something worse.
Holy moly, Hanna's taller than Hayley now?
It warms my heart to see her doing so well after the stuff she went through.

And freedom tastes of reality!

I drove my truck for the first time since June this morning!
Yeah!

My roommate drove us to a parking lot in an industrial area in Kent (about 10 miles from home) and I practiced cruising around , parking, reversing, and general skills.
I did so good I drove us home.
Even got on I5 then 518 for a bit.

Watch out world, I'm back in the saddle again!

WOOHOO!!!

Myke, that's great news. I hope everything continues to improve and you NEVER have to deal with health issues again.

Great to read that you are mobile again, Mykel!

Congrats my friend! Glad to see your wheels have an internal combustion engine attached to them!
Keep pushing and keep the progress going!

Leaving for Indiana to go to Chuckecheese for Emily's 7th birthday, good times!

The saving grace of CeC here was that they served beer - surprisingly.

Not sure what animal the sausage balls on the pizza was made from, but tasty it was not.

Enjoy the kids, John!

best
