It was cool and overcast this morning so I got out early to take advantage of the coolness.
Right off the bat I ran into two rabbits so I knew it was going to be a good outing.(mornings usually are)
Nice and cool and critters in abundance.
I saw 12 rabbits, 2 coyotes, 1 garter snake, squirrels and birds out the yingyang and to my surprise, a little guy I believe was a baby weasel.(I had no idea they would be in an urban environment)
The weasel was breakfasting on a little mole or vole or mouse (lets just say a little gray thing) and it ran into the bush with the poor creature in its jaws before I could get my camera out dang it.
New bloomers, no idea what they are and to lazy to look em up.
Tall ferns back behind the ivy.
More new unknown blooms.
Little wall, probably a driveway edge in a former life.
Wabbit
And Big Bird.
They were flying low again.
These suckers fly so low they leave vortices that whip the tree tops!(they're kinda loud too)
These next two pics were taken the other day but didn't upload for some reason so I'm including them now.
The first are Madrona Trees and these are the largest I've ever seen so I had to get a pic.
They're native to Pacific Coastal regions from BC Canada to Northern Cali.
Very aromatic blooms.
^^
The yellow down there is Scotch broom, a nuisance plant around here, but the blooms are pretty so I forgive them their invasiveness.
