I'm going to try and go out hunting some morels on Wednesday! Can't wait. I love them and they should be popping now.

Good luck. The woods here have not been very productive for me so far but should change quickly with several days of rain forecast for this week.
 
10 knives heat treating today. 7 for the show (4 already done), 2 for orders, and 1 for me.

Hmm,one for you huh?Might it be an Iris perhaps?
 
so, looks like skiing is going to be rained out again this weekend. so, i asked a buddy if he had time to do any turkey hunting this weekend. he said yeah, him and his dad were planning to head out. "4 a.m. departure from my driveway" he says. he's an hour away. i love hunting! :D
 
Good luck TPVT on the turkey hunting. I tagged out last week. Took me longer this year to do that than normal. I blame the hens.

wow that's great. congrats. this will only be my second season for turkey and i have never tagged one. a guy we went with got a good tom last year, but i never got a taste. ;)

and thanks, we'll need it. supposed to be about 45 and rainy. oh well. still very much looking forward to it.

I found no mushrooms. sad for me but it's looking like they are really just popping now south of me so hopefully the rain we are getting will bring them out. maybe on monday when temps hit 70 or so things will get good. I was expecting a good season with all the snow and ground saturation we have had. I hope I'm not wrong. I would settle for just a few pounds of them even.
 
Got handles gluing on the knives for the show, should be posting pictures soon.
 
Hey John. What "show" is it that you speak of? Are you going to Blade this year? Or, is it a local show?
 
Depending on my schedule, I may try to stop by and see you at the show. May is usually pretty busy for me, so we will see what happens. Where is it at?
