The "Whatever" Thread

Just got word that another guy I worked with for 15 years passed away, that makes two in the last year. Larry took over as the stamping department lead when I was promoted to plant supervisor, a great guy.

Woohoo, I passed the test,(stupid preemployment test you'd have to be a real dimwit not to pass) now I've got an interview with Kenworth, (PACCAR) on Saturday!
Fingers are crossed........

I`ve been watching the girls while Becky runs some errands, and Connie is at work. Power went out for over an hour, so no Scooby Doo! Just came back on.

I had to look it up on the Wikii P. to know what Paccar is - here's what I found -

"Paccar Inc. is a Fortune 500 company[8] and was ranked the third-largest manufacturer of medium- and heavy-duty trucks in the world in 2011–12,[9][10] and has substantial manufacturing in light and medium vehicles through its various subsidiaries. For its leadership in the development of aerodynamic, lightweight commercial vehicles that has led to reduced fuel consumption and increased efficiencies, Paccar, Inc was awarded the National Medal of Technology at the White House in 2006.[11][12] The company’s presence has been especially strong in Renton, Washington, where it remains the oldest continually operating business. Paccar's assembly plant in Renton was recognized as one of the best workplaces for commuters for the fifth consecutive year by the National Center for Transit Research in June 2013. The plant also celebrated its 20th anniversary in June 2013 and has produced more than 130,000 heavy-duty and medium-duty Kenworth trucks since it started its operations in 1993."

Not being a dimwit Myke - you know all this :D. Good luck Saturday - good vibes coming your way.

Good luck Myke! Looks like Paccar is doing well for themselves at the moment,

The local Peterbilt factory is hiring a lot of new people right now due to increased build rate
must be the same for Kenworth.
