The "Whatever" Thread

After discussing it with Connie, I will not be getting a part time job, there is just too much other stuff going on right now, where one of us needs to be available all the time.

Good luck John and sorry you had to resort to getting a job, even if it is only part time.
Last Tuesday I had an interview with BOEING of all places.
I know, another big company, but they are for a fact different than the f'n Nazis at Kenworth.

It seems there are a lot of folks retiring soon & they need to hire replacements.
I went through a school of theirs back in 97, but decided to stay with the company I was at to become the lead man after a couple of guys got fired for fighting & the lead quit.

A job is the best thing for me right now, knife sales, (for me), are very disappointing, and I really don`t see any change in the near future.

hope it goes well for both of you, I tried picking up a part time job this summer and it didn't work out because of scheduling and stuff as well,it can be tough.

Good luck guys. I hope and pray that things work out well for both of you.

best of luck John - on both the interview and the knife sales.

My sentiments too. I wish I could offer some useful advice on how to boost your knife sales but marketing=money no matter the quality of the product. Now if you are selling a cheap gimmicks - think pet rocks - then you just need luck and a gullible population, but high quality goods that can't be sold as a public service - sorry - I've got nothing. I'm in the same conundrum. If I had more money I'd order more knives.

Good luck to you too Myke. All the best to you guys.

thanks, John, she's upset about having to ask so she left late, we just couldn't swing that kind of thing by ourselves right now.

Feeling totally miserable today, I caught Connie`s bronchitis. Still went to the interview, looks like I got it, will start next week.

Hope you feel better soon. What work will you be doing?

Jeff

Working in a fishing tackle shop, 2-3 days a week. About 15 miles from home, but it looks like it will be a good place to work. B JACKSON will be my boss.
