The "Whatever" Thread

I thought I would share this. I ordered an Iris blank from John a little while back, I finally finished it. The wood is Redwood Lace Burl, really makes the knife pop.

Ground out a couple of oddball blanks this morning while handles are gluing on orders. I`m having trouble getting motivated, guess I`m still pissed off about the BS.

was it the one guy who ordered like 5 different blades but 2 of each? you should post up some info so members know what's up.

I don`t want to bad mouth anyone, at least he cancelled shortly after I asked for the deposit, so no loss out of my pocket. I`m just hoping nobody here buys any of his "knives", he is also a "maker."
 
Getting nervous about tomorrow, I don`t know a thing about fishing tackle. At least they sell worms by the ten pack instead of by the dozen, at least I can keep my shoes on when counting!
 
Don't be nervous John, but please be ready to tie a Bimini Twist Knot as well as a Slim Beauty and a bunch of Double Uni Knots
 
I always get nervous starting a new job, seriously though i bet it'll be a fun place to work, probably have a great time, shoes optional :)

Good luck John. If it's like most tackle shops I've been in many guys come in knowing what they want and the ones who ask questions know less about tackle than you do. If asked a question you're not sure of just take the political approach and talk for several minutes only pretending to answer the question.
 
Had a great first morning in the shop. Learned how to work the register, wait on customers, and went to the bank. Counted out packs of 36 each wax worms, and 100 packs of wax worms. Enjoyed it!
 
Good to hear - it would be fun working with Brad anyway - he is a good fellow -
