So peaceful in the shop, rain beating down on the roof, just waiting for the oven to come up to temp.

we had a wether change yesterday afternoon at 4 PM it was a bit over 60 and sunny.
at 4:10 it was "breezy" cloudy, and significantly cooler.
light dusting of snow last night, bright and sunny today and the temp on my front porch just hit 32.
the crock pot stew I'm making is starting to smell good, too.

Nice - yea - I took yesterday afternoon off - it was 70 and sunny, breezy here so I detailed out my truck.

This morning - 33 and freezing rain - never turned a wheel with the truck clean.

Oh well - at least it is relatively ready for winter.

This morning it was 60 plus degrees in SoCal and this afternoon it's 28 degrees here in Beaver UT. What a difference a few hundred miles makes.

I wish I was able to hit the woods. I'm on vacation and everything. so far only got out a few days of bow hunting. gun season opened yesterday. blah! dang these kids getting in the way of my fun lol.

General Firearms season opened Saturday at a crisp 14 degrees with the wind chill much lower. My hunting companion and I split off after reaching a large flat on top of a mountain. He insisted I picked which way I was going and he took the other. Long story short I didn't see much and he shot a nice 8 pointer. Still a great day and I can't wait to get back in the woods.

Cooper had a good weekend. My brother in law and I got 4 pheasant, a Grouse, and a woodcock. Surprisingly he jumped 2 rabbits, we got one of them. Saw tons of deer, glad that Cooper doesn't have any interest in them..!
Cleared some roads for Deer season, drank a bunch of Great Lakes Christmas Ale, showed off my JK's and gave my new Nikon D3300 a spin...

Sam..

Sure does feel like hunting weather with the temp hovering around 16 this morning.

I've been taking care of the wife after her accident. She had surgery on her neck to fuse several broken vertebrae together last Monday. She is recovering quickly but in a lot of pain with the neck as well as four broken ribs, punctured lung and numerous cuts and bruises.

Our truck is totaled so just waiting on the insurance to finalize that part of this horrible incident.

The little POS that hit her now claims she was merging and cut him off (they estimate he was going about 90). He dodged the insurance companies for three days and finally gave his "statement". Thankfully there were 6 witnesses that all said he was driving way too fast and hit her.

The worst part of this obviously is seeing your wife in pain and also thinking about what could have happened. The fact that the person that did it would try and lie his way out of being responsible only makes things that much worse.

slg98 - sweet looking Lab! I had a black years back, Bo, he was a hunter up until his last days when he was 15, best dog I ever owned.

outdoorsfan - hope your wife starts feeling better soon. I know what it`s like dealing with insurance companies, no fun at all.

OF, ouch, that sucks. Hope your wife is doing okay...

I hope you get a good deal from the insurance company.

I would never sign off on the damage to Maggie's car after her accident, because I was not going to finalize anything until I knew Maggie was ok -

We got the payment, and they even included a small amount for her "suffering", but I would still not sign off on anything.

I hope your wife is feeling better in a hurry - she has a good man to take care of her!

Sean, sorry to hear about your wife's accident. wishing her a full and speedy recovery.

Nice harvest Sam.

Sean, be glad the POS that hit your wife had insurance and that there were plenty of witnesses.
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for your wife.

Another interview today and I'm also waiting to hear back on wether or not I made the list for a CNC Machinists course being offered to Veterans in January.
