I get a lag sometime - slow to connect - I think because of the amount of traffic - but no issues with ever getting a "database error" message.
Would you just then be accessible through your new website forum?

I must admit that I have been reluctant to sign up for yet another forum - especially as the whole JK gang is available here but if your close down your JK site on BF I will certainly sign up at your web site. One more bookmark, one more password, one more stop on my run through the forums. What it is.
 
I have the same problem John. that is one of my reasons for getting on here less and less. this forum is so damn so it's ridiculous. they need to upgrade I think. I give it one refresh try then just say screw it lol.
 
I honestly hope he doesn't go either. I don't want another forum to check and I still hang out here a good bit as I love JK knives, Busse knives and the wilderness sections (even though they are far from what they use to be)
 
even that last post took 3 damn refreshes to get it to go. that's sad for as many members who pay money to hang out here. USN has over 30k members and not a single issue posting or even opening posts for that matter.
 
The forum has been working much better for me the last few days. Over the past few weeks it has been going down around 11:15 pm and staying down for half an hour or so. I haven't had that issue the past couple days. (knock on wood)

It used to be when I checked each morning, there would be over a page of new posts. Ever since they split it into two sections, it`s not good at all. I usually check my forum, Traditional, and Buck, that`s all anymore.

I agree. The split ruined it. Not sure why they did that.
 
Ahh, Tiger Mountain territory.
I've only been on the upper end of 18 maybe three times in my life.
 
Just got back from another interview and wow, I want this job damnit!
It's a laid back shop making airplane parts with higher starting pay than any I've interviewed with so far.(besides Boeing that is, but this isn't a union shop)
The machinists schooling would have required multiple grants to be applied for & renewed so I decided not to go for it as I would rather work than beg for schooling money.

good luck mykel -- and I think you made the right call to not spend half your life writing grant proposals/requests.

My Thanksgiving was interesting...we were supposed to have dinner at my parents house. The night before, we got a storm. It wasn't really a ton of snow, but it was really wet and heavy, and knocked out power for about 200,000 people in the state, including my parents.

We ended up moving everything over to our house and cooked dinner over here. These guys decided to show up and protest, LOL!
