Wow - that looks like some heavy snow!

I get flocks of Turkeys in the field behind my house occasionally - one time there were so many that I thought someone had put out a bunch of decoys - until they all moved away on their own!

I didn't realize how heavy the snow was until I went up north today. On the way back, I was looking at all the trees that snapped along the highway and looked like they had come down in the road. They must have broke like twigs. Downed trees everywhere...

Thankfully, the state has learned its' lesson, and brought in extra crews pretty quick this time. Most of the power was back on by the end of the weekend.

Not those type of grants.It is just a year long course and just begging for money from different agencies to pay for the course each quarter.

My Thanksgiving was interesting...we were supposed to have dinner at my parents house. The night before, we got a storm. It wasn't really a ton of snow, but it was really wet and heavy, and knocked out power for about 200,000 people in the state, including my parents.

The sun finally came out...




We ended up moving everything over to our house and cooked dinner over here. These guys decided to show up and protest, LOL!

Saw the dumbest thing at work last night. A younger women, with her little girl was shopping. Not wearing a coat, just a short sweater and low cut jeans (now I suppose you are wondering what I was doing looking, it`s my job!) She bends over to pick up something from a lower shelf, and fully exposes her little Sig auto. I thought the idea was concealed carry?

Not a euphemism is it? :D

Yeah, you shouldn't be looking at her little (or big) "Sig auto" in any case.
 
I have to, it`s my job. I`ve been doing night shift security (watching cameras, walking the store, driving around the parking lot) for a large retail store.
 
I got a job offer, WOOHOO!!
The company I interviewed with actually wants to hire my old ass!:D
I'm going through an employment agency so I have to work for them for 90 days but that's ok, I'll get a raise when that contract is up!:D
Now I go down & fill out paperwork so they can complete the screening process.(background check and probably a credit check):D
It looks like I might have a merry christmas after all.
I sure hope you all do.
