The "Whatever" Thread

Nice pictures! Wade, my wife has the same necklace as your wife, she has been wearing it to work.

Heading out in about an hour for my day with the girls, really looking forward to this!

Hope you enjoyed your day! I headed out with my son and grandson to do a little shopping for our girls, but as luck would have it, my catalytic converter on my truck decided to clog just as we hit the highway. I nursed it to the muffler shop, sure enough - needs a whole new primary and secondary cat and y pipe - 981 dollars. Yay. Well, at least I have the cash as I have not made a payment on this truck in 5 years, so I can take the money from my savings for a new truck. Stuff happens, the biggest bummer was not being able to have the fun with my boys!

Spent the day Christmas shopping with the family, everything was super busy but we had a great time. We did grab some good beers and food at a place I would recommend if anyone ever finds themselves in Roanoke, VA : http://wasenacitytaproom.com/

Nice looking place! I love fried green tomatoes, and my wife loves chicken thighs - sounds like our kind of place!

Quiet here. I got home from work at 1, and Connie left for work at 1:30. Time to sit in the dark, turn the tree on, and watch Christmas movies with the dogs!

Sounds like a great way to spend a few hours, I love sitting in the dark with only the tree lights on.

I think that's what we will be doing today - looking at the tree and watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

Sounds good, we spent yesterday wrapping presents and watching very corny Christmas movies, good times

We've only watched Christmas Vacation a couple times since Thanksgiving and plan to spend this evening having a few drinks and watching it again.

My wife has to work tomorrow, so we spent the morning at my in-laws. That way she could be there for our kids to open presents with Nana & Pap and my wife's brothers. Between the uncles and grandparents "Santa" was put to shame. But instead of looking at it like tomorrow's thunder has been stolen or that Iur Christmas has been diminished, I'm grateful that my children are loved.

It's the same way for us here, my in-laws outdo Santa every year.

We had a house full of family most of the day yesterday and everyone had a wonderful time. I received phone calls this morning saying two of our guests have terrible flu symptoms this morning. I feel bad for them and my wife is paranoid that we will catch it. So far so good other than the house smelling like Lysol

good to hear your holiday went well -- you might let your wife know it takes 48-72 hours to develop symptoms if it really is the flu, so IF anyone in your house is going to get it, thy won't start feeling bad until tomorrow or Sunday, and if she hasn't started running a fever by the time she goes to bed Sunday, she very likely dodged the bullet. :D
on the plus side, I woke up fever free today and my wife hasn't manifested symptoms yet, so she may have dodged the bullet, too.

Little bit of freezing rain today, but no worries.

We had our fun for the day, our gas went out, had to call the gas company. Very pleased with the service, they were there in 30 minutes, replaced the meter, and were done in 15 minutes!

Couldn't sleep and got board last night around 2am and started sanding on my element 01, a mixture of getting a macarta handled knife from Myke in the giveaway and getting gifted some micarta in the santa exchange made me want to see how it worked anyway, bad par now it it doesn't fit the custom kydex sheath, so I've got it in a leather one now instead :)

pretty fun stuff to work with, horrible smell though, and it lets you know when you miss a bit a little easier then wood because of the discoloration, I've still got to finish out a spot or to as you can see :)

been trying to figure out a way to do this for a while, got it kinda figured out last night, came out okay for a first try

plenty of beauty marks though :)
