The "Whatever" Thread

I ground what I think will be the last knife for the sale early this morning, so I`m taking tomorrow off. It`s our 27th anniversary, and Connie is off work, so we are taking Emily to the big candy store in Indiana, then stopping in Crown Point to check out the antique stores. On Monday it`s my big day out with Haley and Hanna, really looking forward to that.

Happy anniversary. Hope you have a safe and enjoyable road trip.......finding a little treasure at the antique shop would be a nice bonus.

I`ve noticed that too. I`m tired of starting new threads trying to get interest going, but getting few replies. I`m going to sit it out for a while, still got about 4 weeks, lets see if it livens up here.

Actually for skinning I have an old Gerber with a gut hook. My buddies father who has since passed away gave it to me years ago and I've used ever since. He taught me quite a bit about hunting in my youth so it's kind of sentimental thing.:)

The old Gerbers were some great blades. I had a bunch of them.
 
Holidays, travel, work man life gets stupid busy around these times! Hope all is well with everyone. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!!
 
Really starting to feel like Christmas here. Not only are there presents around the tree but my son got home from school yesterday. He graduates next semester! I'm so unbelievably proud of what he has accomplished and there is a small part of me that is afraid of what the future holds. I know he won't stay in this area but I can't stand the thought of him being on the other side of the country. Not knowing what next Christmas will be like makes this one special. I'm off work till after Christmas and plan to make the most of every minute. Hope everyone has a safe and Very Merry Christmas.

* Since this is a knife forum thought I would add that I did get him a super nice Christmas gift, a Randall 14 which is one of my most loved models.

oh wow! that's a nice gift!

And, i am at about the same timing as you. my eldest son got home from school earlier this week. he still has one more year though...or at least a semester. we'll see. it sounds like your boy has a plan. that's great. mine does not, as of yet. hopefully he will by the time he needs one.

and yeah, have all next week off and a few days the next week. plan to ski as much as possible with my boys. should be great (though, i hurt my knee a bit last week...oh well).

wow - that is a big place!

They do a big parade and light display in East Peoria - Festival of Lights - it is pretty nice - I rarely go anymore.
