The "Whatever" Thread

Hey, I paid 1.89 a gal for gas yesterday!Woohoo, I can't remember the last time it was this cheap, must have been in the 1990s.
What are you all paying in your part of the world?
There has to be some cheaper out there as we are one of the highest taxed states in the good old US of A.(and they want to raise the gas tax even more.....greedy SOBs)

As I hear it ky is the most expensive. I paid 1.99 a gallon today though and did a grateful little happy dance while I did :)

It's been $1.85 local for a week or two but we paid $1.76 yesterday at a truck stop an hour away. With my years of driving many miles for work I developed the habit of watching prices while driving and I was always surprised by the variation in prices a few miles or being in the "right spot" made. I will say if any of you ever on the road and decide to stop by the Gander Mtn in Roanoke, VA don't get gas at that exit. You can go to the next exit either direction and save $.20-.30 a gallon any day.

Nice group,22 cal looks like?

Close, it's a .223. I had been to several shows looking for a 22 or 22mag but had no luck finding one with a wooden stock. I looked at this one last Saturday but didn't buy it. It haunted me all night and Sunday morning I told the wife I had to go back. I haven't started hand-loading for it yet. The group in the pic was shot with Fiocchi 40gr V-Max Polymer Tip ammo.

Gas is under $2.00 here too. I've seen it range from 1.73-1.99 depending on location. I remember it being below $2.00 a gallon long ago, but never dreamed I would be able to pay that little for it myself.

Nice shooting, fishiker.

Speaking of youth,

I was talking to a class the other day about a storm that happened at the same time of year a few years ago and what it had done to testing at the university. I couldn't remember exactly what year it was but, we discussed it and eventually one of the young ladies in the class remembered the storm I was talking about and said "oh, yeah, that one happened when I was in middle school."

It made me feel much older.

Haha - Peter .....

The mind's eye stays young as the exterior ages.

A 21 year old today was born in 1993.

I have many shirts that are older than that.

Wait until you start getting mail-bombed from the AARP, and young ladies begin calling you "Sir".

One of these day's I'll have to introduce myself to that old geezer that keeps showing up in my mirror.

best

I like to counter the young ladies calling me sir by calling them ma'am.
I call most women ma'am, but I get more satisfaction calling the youngsters ma'am.

$1.99 Friday, $2.15 yesterday.
Supposed to be going down not up,geez.

Just renewed this forum for another year!
Yay!

Congratulations and thank you for providing this forum.
Yup, thanks John.

Being the "Whatever" Thread here is a whatever type of question -

MYKE or anyone else, how do you set up your post with multiple quotes - quotes from different posts in the same reply? Like you did just above? How

And yes - I'm glad that you are keeping this (your) forum going John. Thanks.

click the little quotation symbol with the plus mark in the bottom left of the posts you want to quote then hit click reply on the last one (most recent) they should all show up in the dialog box.

Also the quotes will appear in the order you checked them so start at the first one you want quoted and work your way down to keep them in order.

I don't know how many of you will be part of the storm that is forecast for the NE. I hope it's not as bad as expected and that everyone makes it through safely.
