Thought this was interesting...

His opinions are his and though I disagree I can accept them.

He perfers the RAT-7 fine, even the price thing. It is cheaper, no doubt.

But get your info right if your persenting it to a mass market. That's his obligation to his audience and I've seen him fail too many times in that respect to trust his info.

I think what he's doing is cool but do it right if your going to do it.

And the video where he dismantles and "lightens" a RAT-1 folder was laughable. But thats just my opinion.

He does have an insanely massive fan base though so he's doing something right.

back in his day hitler had a huge fan base....did not make him right....know what i mean bro.....(No i am not calling nutnfancy Hitler.....I am just saying having a lot of followers doesn't mean everything you do or say is correct)

He knows people follow his opinion, and if you disagree with him he does bash you and calls you an armchair guy. So basically he puts himself in the know all chair to begin with. When you do this you better be on point if not prepare to get bashed when your full of it. KNIFEABILITY- rc-6 A MUST FOR ALL HUMANS

Ahhh.. There is Godwin's Law proved again.

When it gets right down to it for me...I am not watching ANY youtube video unless it is filled with idiotic skateboard crashes and nutshots.

If it is some "dude" talking to "dudes" about how tactically awesome Lynn Thompsons newest abomination is...well, I just have better things to do.

I think he was just thinking that the rc 6 and rat 7 are very similar blades and the price point on the 7 is lower. Yes he made a mistake and called the rc6 a 7. So nutn would rather have a lower priced rat7 than an rc6. OK. I have an rc6, I feel that the warranty is worth the extra dough. He dosent. I sincerely think that he tries his utmost to present the truth as he see's it to the general public. I watch some of his vids, and I agree with much of what he has to say and disagree with some. One thing that I know is that he actually gets out and USES the gear to the fullest, and presents the results to the public. Hey, I'm a rc fan and a surefire fan- he is not. He's a frugal dude, he has all those hobbiies and a family to support and he makes ends meet.
My two cents

I agree with you, I watch his videos because I like them, and learn a lot from them. I have also seen him give wrong information but the fact is he's allowed to make a mistake. It's my fault if I listen to him and make a mistake, not his.

I hear what you are saying, but he has a collection of blades that is on par with the cost of a small house and no experience with the rc-6. I just think he should be fair to its quality in comparison, thats all KNIFEABILITY-a must for all humans

No but it does mean that before you do a video that 50 some thousand people will most likely watch you could spend a few minutes with your mouth shut reading about what your going to review and not just wing it.

Yes, it's youtube, yes alot of the info is crap on there but as I said, people with his kind of fan base need to be held to a higher standard otherwise he's just a detriment to the community.

For me it has nothing to do with his opinion. He's entitled to it. He likes the ontario, thats fine. I had one for a long time and it served me well but I personally feel he should need to get his facts sorted out before he spreads misinformation to 50,000+ people.

I'm held to a higher standard. Jeff will e-mail me in a heartbeat if I misquote of misrepresent, thats why before I say something about a product I get my ducks in a row and I have a hell of alot less people reading what I write.

Dang Shotty....that response was so long you would have thought i disagreed with what you were saying;)

Eh, that's why I get my reviews/information from bf.com.

I recommend ESEE (I still call them RAT....gotta correct that) as the go to fixed blade for all of my buddies.

The RAT thing is not that big of a deal and is to be expected.

I'm subscribing to all of this guy's videos! I can't watch them without laughing hysterically. He is just too much. "DUDES!!"

Don't forget "caaaveeeat", "ie", "civilian sheepdogs", "tactical slash EDC"

He says each at least 3 times in each video without fail.

I wonder where he's seeing/hearing the RAT "hype" Whatever, no use arguing...I like most of his vids and view them for what they are; one guy's opinon.

As for getting out there and DOING stuff, he's one of the better ones. 99% of tabletop reviews are useless. Seeing gear in action is always better.

Those things are EDCers? I know I'd love one in my pocket next to my keys and my battle ax!

(also my ESEE zippo. Thanks again!)

I like watching his knife reviews because it gives a good view of the knife without me having to take an hour drive to the closest dealer. His opinions and my own diverge quite a bit though so from a review standpoint I prefer cutlerylover and cajunblaze's reviews. They are not as long winded and they don't fill their review with "POU or Philosophy of use" and what ever else nutnfancy rattles on about, they just talks about the knife.

Yeah, i'll keep watching his review videos but i stay away from the other stuff he puts up.

Can't trust his info as far as I'm concerned. Plus he has a know it all attitude that gets under my skin.

I used to watch some of his vids. Sold me on an rtak. But when I saw his axe video I lost what little respect I had for him. I could go on for hours, but he basically threw the contest, used a crap axe improperly, and didn't present a fair effort to try it.

Also, for a knife fan to not be able to sharpen a knife, pitiful

Nutnfancy misspoke in the correct naming of the two knives (I would say almost every person interested in either knife would know he did)…..

Everyone who reviews something is entitled to their own opinion so big deal if he likes Ontario better, that shouldn’t make you all that upset….

Personally I would never buy something without doing a lot of research from multiple sources in order to weed out any discrepancies…

The majority of people should know that the Internet can give bad info, and they need to research various sources to accurately make a judgment on a topic (they even taught me this many years ago in middle school)…..

I would say he has more experiences and knowledge than most people out there on the topics he posts videos on (including myself and most of the people on this forum)...

All in all I think he offers very entertaining / better info and reviews than the majority out there so I am willing to put up with a few of them that contain bad info…
