Tim Wright - Takedown folder...

I thought I had posted this knife in this thread, but I hadn't.

Not only clean beyond belief, but that unusual tang configuration is testimony to a man who thinks WAYYYY beyond the borders.

Nice Coop, your images are always so great, just love seeing them!

And did you notice inside the sheath, for the welt, near the top,
Tim uses a piece of micarta for the welt, at least on the one he
was carrying, what a lot of work he puts into just his sheaths!

Coop, there should be a law again'st you starting these types of thread. You end up costing people money with new knife orders:D:D.
That is a very nice looking knife. Is that wood cocobolo?.Is that one of yours?.If so how is the edge on that one?.Please,if you can, do post some more of his knife pictures.
Oh oh Gary, seems he has that rascally notch near the end of the blade, near the ricasso:D.

Hi Raj, you are correct, I really have a major pet peeve concerning
that notch, Tim knows that and a knife he's making for me will
not have it, it will be much like what my wife's uncle's blade looks
like around the guard area.

T.K.C. you'll love it, :)

Wanting and affording should never be considered at the same time ;)

Most things, if you truly want one, is possible, it just takes imagination
and some careful planning, possibly moving current items along in order
to fit in a new item, which is a lot how I have to work things, otherwise
I'd be knifeless for a long time :)

You pass over paper, you get back something to enjoy, not a bad trade...
good luck on your planning!

What a knife! Seemingly simple but not so.......

Exactly, just a well thought out and well made folder
PLUS, it's one you can actually use too, very sharp bladed knife!

he does seem to be a character

you can see him make knives, watch him ride his bike, and listen to him "philosophize"

Thanks for the link, I didn't know about that one.

Oh....he IS a character...the movie doesn't show Tim when he is "animated/wound up tighter than a clock spring"....fyi, he is also a moderately accomplished tournament table tennis player(according to himself), as well.

bandaidman: I loved the video. Thanks.

Extreme thinking out of the box, on every front.

Viva Tim Wright!

Forget the knife, I just want one of those little screwdrivers!!! :D

Awesome workmanship

Thanks for the link. I enjoyed the video very much also.

I could not imagine never owning a car but Tim Wright is living proof. I like quite a lot of his philosophy actually.

Well, I'll be!
There is not much difference between knives and bikes, at least to me.
I'm going to research this guy a little more and give him a call. Sounds like he's on a pretty near wavelength!

Kitchen knives are fairly affordable, folders are fairly spendy, you will like Tim allow more time for the call than you might expect!
