I love the Damascus bolsters and shield! Incredible knife. I wonder how much that will go for. 4k?

Someone's probably worried that calling it a zulu is politically incorrect. Personally, I think the Zulu's would be thrilled to have a Tony Bose knife named after them. :D
 
I'm sure the African Zulu's would probably have a thought or two about the shituation. :) It sounds a bit PC but it's just legal mumbojumbo. Hmmm....mumbojumbo spear! :D
 
Using tribal for the name offers more marketing possibilities. Picture this ad:

The guys of Wilfred Works dressed in loincloth and deerskins off in the woods hunting for large game. They down a perfect 12 point buck and Kerry "Runs with Scissors in Hand" Hampton pulls out some no-name fixed blade to dress the kill. At this point, Chief "Ol' Dawg" Bose opens up his Case Bose Collab Tribal and "Runs with Scissors in Hand" looks at him. The Chief replies, "You wouldn't understand, it's a tribal thing".

The ad then goes on to describe the new knife with the motto, "It's a tribal thing".

I can suggest other ideas if anyone cares but I off to go fishing this morning. See y'all later.

At Blade, a Case rep told me that they had to stop using "Zulu" because another company already had it tradmarked. He didn't say who, and I didn't ask. I assume CRK???

They both sound good to me, but I'm still gonna call it a Zulu.



I still keep coming back to look at this one!
Has Tony ever used Mukume for bolster/shield before this one?
