Traditional Knives EDC GAW

I'm surprised myself at the number of guys carrying dedicated pliers... Perhaps Hickory n steel Hickory n steel , and Henry Beige Henry Beige would be willing to share something about their (I assume) channel lock pliers?
These are channellock #424, the smallest tongue and grooves they make ( pliers like these used to be considered ignition pliers)
They Just come in handy, sometimes you I may need to hold a fastener in the front and one in the back, and my multitool pliers are generally for grabbing pulling and twisting.
They do some the little channellock pliers don't and the channellock pliers do something the multitool pliers dont.
It's just nice to have multiple bases covered and the maxpedition had some wasted space, these fit without adding bulk.

They look pretty handy, I switched to a pair of dedicated pliers and an sak a few months ago, after wiping out many multi tool pliers over the years. I just can't bring myself to send them for warranty work since most of the time they're used pretty hard. I might look into a pair of those if they still make them... Thanks :thumbsup:

They do, bought mine about two months ago or so from HJE.
They also have a pair of #525 slipjoint pliers of about the same size.

A burner phone? Something you're not telling us? ;):thumbsup:

Ha!! I’m happy to only have 2 phones. I used to have 2 work phones and my personal phone for a couple of years. Both the work phones were for different responsibilities and it drove me nuts. I finally said enough and gave one back. Once I retire I’ll be a happy man, if I even carry a phone at all:confused::confused::confused:

The buses I drive have a lot of fasteners that will rattle loose. With the pliers and a SAK I can deal with most of them. There are other parallel-jaw pliers, some better, some cheaper. These are smaller than any of them. They come in handy on bicycles and motorbikes too.

Great giveaway. I’d love to have some of your leather work, so I’m in, thanks. Here’s what I had in my pocket this morning: Parker pen in my shirt pocket; Klein that I re-handled in left front; chap stick, keys (with shard), and a tin of mustache wax in right front; and wallet in the back. I sometimes carry a handkerchief but not today.

I’m in! Thanks for the fun and generous GAW :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

My daily carry varies, as does many of yours, but almost always includes a small fixed blade and a scout or SAK. My constant is a Pioneer X (as evidenced by the bbq sauce in the nail nick in this photo :) ). The other constant is a leather pocket sheath, I have a few of these and this is my most used.

I don’t need another SAK, or a scout knife with the Pioneer X, as these two patterns overlap with several functions. The Pioneer X is my “worker”, if that makes sense, and having the scissors adds extra utility. I could just carry a small pair of scissors, but hey, I am a knife guy :).

I try not to enter GAWs, but I can't pass on this one. Great looking leather work, John!
The coffee cup was not in my pocket. It's covering an item that's not appropriate for the thread.
Thanks for the chance!
Oops! Just noticed my handkerchief is missing!

John, this is a cool idea, please make mine “not an entry” .

Missing is iPhone, in stylish Oakley sunglasses sleeve, used to take picture. I don’t carry a flashlight on me, but the iPhone has one, and I generally have one around whenever I need it.

A profoundly crappy photo, but here is what's generally in my pockets. Left front is the phone and the knife (with it's slip), right front is the key and the Space Pen (and a couple Kleenex, especially during allergy season), and the coin pocket is the Rambler. I am generally a minimalist to the extent possible. The little Fenix moves around as needed, but is usually close at hand. A very small wallet goes in my jacket pocket and I have a small bag in my briefcase with a few other knick-knacks (pill vial, Burt's Bees Wax, extra battery for the Fenix, eye glass cleaners, folding scissors, etc.).

So, I am in (if the photo doesn't put you off too much)! I love that slip...

P.S. Thank you for the generous GAW. I will, of course, pay overseas shipping if I am fortunate enough to win.

Finally getting around to quoting page 3.
This has been a lot of fun, I really like seeing all the little things you guys carry.
Gives me ideas for my own personal carry and items I can add to my carry bag. :cool::thumbsup:

That's a handy little tote bag. Love the SAK Hank. :cool::thumbsup:

Some elegant knives. :cool::thumbsup:
I'm curious what the little metal object that looks like a bee is?

SAK and Lambsfoot... Can't go wrong with that. :cool::thumbsup:

I love the magnifying glass. :cool::thumbsup:
As an old scout, I can't believe I don't have one in my bag. I will remedy that quickly.

Handy little Leatherman, Dennis. :cool::thumbsup:
I also like the well-worn little flashlight.

Very elegant pen/knife combo. :cool::thumbsup:

How do you like the keybar?
I've thought about one of those for my work keys.

Very attractive pen. :cool::thumbsup:

Aha... another (smart) Sharpie guy. :cool::thumbsup:
Earplugs are a nice addition. Do you need them often?
