How do you like the keybar?
I've thought about one of those for my work keys.

It's not bad. My youngest daughter gave it to me, so I have been using it for just the house keys and the motorcycle luggage key. I'm not sure it's "better" than just a keyring, but it works pretty well.

I'm quite fond of various gear for multiple reasons.

It’s a stanley screwdriver that’s pen shaped. It’s pretty useless for real work but comes in handy sometimes.

JohnDF i do use the earplugs at work alot. I work on boats doing electrical and mechanical work so alot of time in tight places next to running engines. And its good if i forget my earmuffs at the range too!

Too many times when visiting friends, I wish I had my earplugs for impromptu shooting sessions.

Great GAW, John! I was going to say not-an-entry, but I don’t think I can stay away. That Bigfoot SAK is too cool, and I’d be proud to own a pocket slip that you made. In other words, I’m in!

Here’s the stuff I usually have with me on any given day:

• A traditional pocket knife, of course. It’s not always a Bull Nose, but if I were in a cave with Gollum playing what-has-it-got-in-its-pocketses, that’d probably be a safe bet.
• A bandana/handkerchief.
• A Zippo lighter. I don’t carry one every day, but often enough. The one in the photo is (was?) polished solid brass, which I think has aged well.
• A pocket notebook. I like these Word brand notebooks because I think the covers hold up better than, say, Field Notes, and the paper quality is a bit better, as well.
• A couple pens. I don’t carry all four of these at once, but it’s usually some combination of two out of the four pictured. I like a rollerball with liquid ink.
• Truck key, house key. The bottle opener has been attached to my car keys since I got my first car when I was 15. It used to be black, and I think it had a Guinness logo on it at one point.
• My wallet was made by a company called Tanner Goods, and started off as natural-finished leather that was as light in color as that pocket slip. (What can I say, I like things that patina.)
• The watch is a Luminox Navy Seal that I’ve had for close to 20 years. The tritium dials still work, but just barely.
• Kavu Strapcap. I never leave home without one. (I might leave it in the truck if I have to go to a wedding or something.)

Not pictured: my phone (had to use it to take the picture) and, lately, a small bottle of hand sanitizer.

Most days at the factory I carry these two (Fenix rechargeable flashlight and an SAK Pioneer). I won't post the Viper I've been carrying for a few days

Not being a paying member i can't play but if i had been it would be for Jack Black. Because a guy who carries such a load can't remember all what he carries and therefore is always missing something.

For your consideration here is the gear i carry, not each item every day but typically that's what it is:

Nothing luxury, nothing expensive, all tough and reliable. "Knives are tools. If you don't have a certain familiar contempt for your tools then you loose the perspective". Bob Loveless.
I would be proud to have understood those wise words.

As a side note, Jack, don't go by the river Don, if you fall, you sink.

I carry ear-plugs in my bag. Not for shooting anymore sadly, but so I don't have to listen to the loud-mouthed idiots talking high-volume rubbish on their cell phones oblivious to everyone else on the bus or train!

John I’ve been wanting to post an entry in your GAW. I keep getting sidetracked for some reason. I really love the slip you’ve made. I don’t own a Bigfoot Tinker or a Fisher Space Pen so here’s my “I’m In” photo.
