Thanks, ( carvings ) -I only have one GEC it's a Tidioute #54 moose and it's a workhorse, built like a tank, I almost bought the GEC stockman with the punch, but for me, I like a sheepsfoot instead of the Spey, plus the price was much cheaper for the Case. If I see another GEC that I like I would not hesitate to purchase it. The #62 courthouse whittler is on my short list of future purchases.I have a lot of cases both cv and Tru sharp and whore out a few but I've never had or held a GEC ! I like tha calf roper model. I just wonder if they will take the abuse of a case. I can honestly say that A case lasted longer than a spyderco for me. I can use a case for a few years compared to a few months with some taticals. I just love traditional stockmans!
hi gents! couple questions with the 301. i bought a 301 with black saw mark handles (delrin?) i like the looks of it, really makes you think of grimy and oily workshops which is where this one is destined to hang out. how come some 301 stockmans have a blue anvil logos while mine has the knife and bolt? also, why does mine have only one handle-liner pin while the anvil has three? mine has an inverted T after the '301.' anything? thanks.

U know stitch, bear and sons offer a 4 inch stockman with a punch without a Spey like u like.
Doug Add, I don't know if you have one or not, but if you have a peanut could you take a pic side by side with your small stockman, I'm trying to gauge the size? I like to carve with my peanuts pen blade and my stockmans sheepsfoot and thought maybe the small stockmans sheepsfoot might be nice for detail work.
Thank you, that looks perfect for what I have in mind, I assume the other small blade is a pen not a Spey? Here ya go. Sorry for the bright morning sun, but I'm about to leave for the day and wanted to get this posted for you.
