Traditional treasure hunt picture game

Has this turned into posing the actual knife on top of a printed picture of the object? That' going to make this too easy unless we start calling for very rare knives.

I also think the knife and the object (or whatever) should be in the SAME photo :D

I agree that both of these "rules" make the game more fun. In my request, I was hoping for a photo of a knife and an actual car in one photo (which we did get eventually), but seeing as my submission for the request prior to mine was a bit of a stretch, I didn't feel like I could be too much of a stickler. :D

I don't know. I like leaving it up to the requester as to whether something meets their request or not.

On the other hand, having some ground rules that the requester can opt out of saves most from having to choose between going forward with a slightly disappointing response or being the bad guy or gal who rejects one.

Now, how’s that fish taxidermy coming along, folks?

I'm kinda surprised nobody could do that one really. So for stumping us I say congratulations Kevin! Pretty sure he who posted the challenge that could not be met wins, I vote we keep the thread going just for the fun of it. If anyone feels like putting up a new prize from time to time would be pretty neat. Kinda an open GAW thread maybe?

There are five prizes in the pool (currently) and I believe the winner gets to pick one from the pool. So I think we can have four more winners, and the game continues.

I'm surprised as well! Since I am donating the Diamond Edge barlow and haven't sent it to @rockgolfer yet, I decided to "gift" my winnings to the random number generator and send the barlow to the lucky winner... guess what? Congrats to GT @5K Qs for post #117 :D PM me your address GT and I will put the knife in the mail on Monday

Ok a black handled knife with a lump of coal. Bonus points if it has a coal miner etch ( points don't count but it'd still be cool)

That’s a mighty nice thing to do. In that case, congratulations GT and well done Kevin.

That doesn’t leave any doubt. Nailed it. Round two is off to a good start!

I think I've got that one covered.

How about an carbon-blade Opinel with a wooden clog. (Real thing only, no photographic representations, both items in one photo. :D)

Edited to add: That is, of course, if my submission is acceptable, being charcoal rather than anthracite. ;)

I've been waiting for a change to participate, this should be it, but I'm ashamed to say I only have Swedish clogs :oops:
