Trophy Room - Hunting and Fishing Pics

Those are some spectacular pictures HK!! Good looking hound too! Is that a Foxhound? My sister & brother-in-law have one and he's such a great dog. He's a rescue, they think he's gun shy and was just let loose in central Virginia.

These hounds of mine are very closely related to the foxhound variety you are familiar with. In appearance, it can be almost impossible to distinguish one from the other. They are genetically different however, and these are a 'treeing' variety 'coonhound' whereas the foxhounds are a 'running' variety. Some of my best friends are definitely four-legged :)

Very true and he won't forget getting stuck for 3 hours waiting for a tow!! Happy 4th!
 
the 2 best days of a boat owners life.....which is how my cousin got the boat from his brother who was sick of it breaking down...i heard that AFTER the fishing trip!

Maybe it's time to ditch that outbound and replace it. That or carry a few sets of paddles.
 
Getting towed Sucks!! Our family had a couple gremlins this weekend too. Glad you're all okay and got to set a few hooks though. Looks like it was beautiful weather.

- You're right but 6' to 8' tides (those oyster banks were completely underwater at high tide) and 15 to 20+ MPH winds make paddles impossible, unless we had banks of rowers!

- Thanks! Hopefully you guys were safe too. It was hot & humid but the wind and a few quick dips made it bearable. As I told my son it was an adventure and a fun tale to tell.

We are all safe. Actually, that's what we kept repeating to keep morale up and count our blessings.....nobody's hurt, it's just equipment! I won't muck up the trophy thread with it, but might recount it in the chat or something. Long story short, lots of equipment failure, and going to be some unexpected expense. Oh well, I'll get around to posting some fish pictures sooner or later, it wasn't all bad :)
