Trophy Room - Hunting and Fishing Pics

That naval museum is awesome. I loved walking around the aircraft carrier. Charleston is a great place. Full of hotties too. The University there draws them in.

Haha go figure!
Maybe it's time to ditch that outbound and replace it. That or carry a few sets of paddles.

Welcome to the south! But it doesn't hurt that C of C is here. I've been going to this place for almost 40 years. I am glad it's doing well. Will look out for sticky fingers BBQ too!

Very nice hk, I'll see your pan fish and raise you a cat. :)

All night cat fishing. I threw my first line out hours after everyone else, about 1am , and I couldn't even turn around and clean up my mess before my bell was chattering.

And yes I was sweating at 1 am cause it was a cool 85° with some nasty humidity.

Now to see if some bass woke up hungry. :D

Thanks obx. We was supposed to be there fishing till tomorrow but the kiddo got too hot so we had to pack up last night. Momma got a bigger one then that on the line the line broke when he got to shore so she didn't get to land it. :( We had a blast though.

Nice job TT. You probably had more for the frying pan on that one cat than I did on my whole stringer lol.

Nice cat! I'm debating going back down tonight.

Took my youngest nephews and niece out today, struck out for the first time this summer. They got some good casting practice in though and any time hanging out with them is a win in my book.

All the kids got excited and helped clean the fish. We didnt weigh the fish but it was about 24_26 inches long., Two of the younger ones woke up about 5am while I was fishing and got some casting practice in. All around good time with her family.

Outdoors time is always better then Xbox time.

Well that was cool as cucumbers. Went out again till about 2:30am, and my mom went with. It has to have been at least 25 years since that's happened.

I left the net at home so of course I hooked a big ass carp. I played him for about 5 minutes but he still snapped the line when I went to land him.

We were good to keep fishing for a while then we heard some weird stuff then saw there were 3 or 4 otters cruising around and playing. I don't think I'd enjoy fishing for a long time if I hooked an otter so we pulled our lines in and watched them play for a good while before we headed back.

Best day of fishing without catching anything that I can remember.

The boy in the bottom could be a model for a Norman Rockwell painting! Nice shot and good times!!

Nice cat! I feel you about the sweating brother, I was changing my shirt every few hours this weekend

Anyone else ever go specifically for carp? From a purely 'fun' perspective they fight harder than anything I've ever caught, pound for pound. The bass have been hitting phenomenally this year, I caught a great walleye earlier in the year, but I still think carp out fight any fish I've ever caught. Now that the older nephews all have a big bass notch in their belt I want to show them how to use that drag on a long fight with a big carp.

Not specifically. But I remember one time when I was bass and crappie fishing in a slough off the Snake River and hooked into something big. It's full of carp in there, and i had snagged one in the top fin with a twist tail jig. Which is in itself weird because they got those huge scales, and you don't inadvertently snag into one much. I had 8 lb test on, and it's a good thing I was in a long slough where I could walk the bank, and not in the main river. It took about 40 minutes to get it landed and it measured 30" long and 36" around, big fatty! They are pretty fun, but I just wanted my jig back :) They'd definitely be good training to prep young folks for bigger fish.
