Trophy Room - Hunting and Fishing Pics

Almost looks like a fresh water drum but I'm not familiar with them. I have caught one though. Mine didn't have the red fins like that.

I snagged this one by luck I'm sure, we were bass and crappie fishing.

Pretty sure you guys are right about it being drum. Tomorrow we'll find out the important thing.. how does it taste?! From what I've read it has some red meat best removed but a good light taste otherwise.

Slow night fishing but it was a great night to be out.

Just nightcrawlers on an octopus hook. This one actually fought for a bit before he decided to come in, I had my hopes up for a minute.

Mine was a fighter I can't recall what he hit on, but I believe it was a fake minnow, or a small rooster tail with spinner. I just remember thinking "WTH!" I thought I snagged a spotted gar or alligator gar, cause they were everywhere out there, swimming right to the bank next to you. I almost caught two just foul hooking them.

Nice looking fish guys! I didn't get to go out fishing much this year unfortunately. Anyone getting geared up for the hunting season?

Black powder and bow season runs concurrently here, trying to decide between a basic compound or some flavor of CVA (Optima V2 is looking like a good value)just to get another chance put a doe in the freezer.

I'm getting excited seeing a bunch of bucks down today. Over the counter archery started today. I have a nov coues tag and father in-laws mulley the week after. I'm also going to get it with a buddy who has an archery rut bull tag.

I haven't gotten much better then last year, but I wasn't too bad then, I think I'm ready for bow season. I think that's all I will be hunting with this year. (Give my self a challenge)

Man I am so ready! Need to get some stuff done first though, a couple sight-ins and a scope swap. So I guess I'm not ready, but I FEEL ready, ha.

You after hogs and whitetails in Georgia?

I've been getting ready for a while haha. I got a new rifle setup earlier this year and just got a new bow setup as well I've been working on. Both are awesome, but I have to finish tuning the bow because archery season comes in Sept 10. I mainly go for whitetail unless hogs present themselves. So far their move south has sorta stalled out and they aren't a super huge problem where I am. Now about 60 miles north it's another story.

The wife and I went out a few weeks ago and cut right of ways and set out some cameras and we have been getting a good bit of movement. It has definitely gotten me pumped up to hopefully get my first with a bow.

I'll try and post up some of my trail cam pics tomorrow afternoon/night. Left my laptop at the office and it has my other pics on it I've already taken. I've got some good pics of a bachelor group that showed up this week that has me pumped up haha.

Trying to patiently wait for a new wind age screw to arrive for my sight so I can get my bow finished up.

Took a picture of a picture. Not the best but hopefully work will calm down and I can post some better shots up.
