Absolutely! press charges ASAP! Find out what your legal optiions are aned explore them! Do whatever must be done. You have many public proclomatiosn from Kyle admitting to doing you wrong and intenionally withholding your $$. As well, he intended to mail your knife back to you and money hoping that customs would screw you. Go get him!

It's interesting that Kyle's buddies haven't called him on this blunder, and lack of integrity, and continue to consider him an upright guy...

I did make a claim with PayPal for the two payments made ($60 and $150). A lawyer did relate that filing criminal charges and collecting might be a bit complicated being that I reside in Italy. If anyone thinks differently, and wants to pursue the case, please either e-mail or PM me.

I have no doubt that Kyle has received some negative publicity for his actions; the knife community is relatively small, and word goes out quickly when individuals are dishonest. I'm also sure "The Master Knifemaker" will show him the prinicple of "what goes around comes around"...

I used to consider Kyle to be a real stand up guy, but that is no longer the case. There is no excuse for what he is doing in this matter. He seems to think that if he ignores it for long enough it will go away. That will definitely not be the case. In my opinion, Kyle couldn't have handled this any worse if he had tried.

I suppose he thinks that Drdan cannot do anything with regards to hundreds of dollars of stiolen items and cash just because he lives overseas. If i were you i'd check how to go about filing charges in the US (in city/county where purpetrator resides); perhaps a visit from local guys will make him change his mind about ripping people off.

Kit, is the rolling eyes a reaction to this thread being kept at the top? Personally, I think that until Kyle makes good on this deal this thread should stay where everyone can see it.

Keith,
IMHO, there are about two dozen more that could also be brought back to the top. It's not going to be resolved here. It's called beating a dead horse.

hi Vox, bro :)

well , i too got screwed a couple of times ,not from same person, but with -probally - the same "attitude" : since we are far way overseas, some "smart" guys think that we will not file charges to them.. and ,in fact, i didnt becasue my loss werent so big..

but this make me upset.
i hope Dan will get his knife /money back.
and surely will add the other to my bad guys list.

regards to everybody.
and thanks for all the help and support from people here.

I have the same experience. Fortunately my bank is in US and I pay with CC so the problem was quickly resolved...

David

David1976, you mean you had the same problem with Kyle? or with someone else?
