RDT, just a thought. Paragraphs.

I hope this is worked out to both parties involved.

We haven't heard from Dr Dan in awhile and Kyle may be banned and can't post, so who knows? It may have already been worked out.

Code3, I can't speak about any actions or interactions you had on the USN, nor can I speak to Dan's situation as I wasn't personally involved, but it got me curious enough to keep following this thread. I'm a participating member of both forums and can say with certainty that no forum is perfect, but on the USN, just like on Blade Forums, there are a lot of good people sharing and making friends. I'm not a Suspect, I don't know Eich and it wouldn't be my place to put my nose into their business. I hope it can be resolved equitably. But as you're a moderator here I'd like to see you take the high road and quit bashing the other forum. Nobody over there wastes any energy bashing you.

Don't take this as a flame, just constructive criticism from a paying member.

Kit, Kyle has NOT been banned. He is free to post anytime.
 
No news, RDT...

When I sent Kyle the PayPal payment, a message sent along with the payment clearly gave the U.S. address to where the knife and supplies were to be sent. I followed with an e-mail again letting Kyle know where I wanted the knife sent.

I haven't received an e-mail from Kyle since late May, and no information about a sent package with its tracking number has been received by me. I welcome Kyle to post the tracking number for all to see! I e-mailed the person to whom the package was to be sent several times, including last week; nothing has been received.

Kyle admitted publicly that he received payment from me. I paid him without having had received a breakdown of the $210 I sent. If Kyle was a man of integrity, he would make sure I received the knife and supplies without any futher delay. If he's elected to keep my property, he's bound to be a loser in the long run. Something along the lines of reaping what you sow...
 
Dan, I still cannot believe the balls this guys got to avoid this issue and not address you publicy. 7 Months and no money or goods. I feel for you man. This could have been sooooo simple. Just say Hello Dan, I am sending your knife and $ back as requested. Here's the tracking info. Have a great day, hope to do business with you some other time.
Well, now we all know....it still has not been resolved and Kyle continues avoiding the issue. That speaks volumes and I hope Kyle get's what he deserves from all this. Good luck Dan.....Rich

PS. Kit...."paragraphs", I keep tryin' but sometimes when I'm on a rant I forget ;)
 
A simple "Funds received; knife will be at the given address within a week" would have sufficed. When I first saw Kyle's aggressive and foul mouthed post, I had the feeling there would be nothing but problems with getting my property back.

I would be more than happy to post "Knife and supplies received; thanks, Kyle." I'd first need to receive what I've paid for... :rolleyes:
 
I can't speak for Kyle and why he is handling this situation the way he is, but it sure would look better if he was to do everything he could to help Dan get his stuff back. If he thinks that this whole deal stinks he should just hold his nose, give Dan the info he needs and put this in the past. It's not going to go away.
 
Sometimes, though you may feel you are in the right, you still have to surrender to circumstances and just do what is needed of you. Be a good soldier and carry out the task at hand. That's what was being asked here and quite humbly to Dan's credit. Kyle has opted to be a poor soldier. He may feel that Dan was unreasonable but we all think Dan has been quite clear. So, in the face of the majority you just have to suspend those ego fueled over emotional responses, bite your foul mouthed tongue and do what needs to be done and that is.....giving Dan his knife and money back PERIOD. Not whenever you feel like it...7 months later or never?!. Not begrudgingly, not after attempting to discredit Dan or intimidate him with foul language and some ignorant show of support by your buddies in blatant childish schoolyard fashion.

The only thing that can remedy this is complete and total submission in the form of a public and private apology and to over night the knife and funds to WHERE EVER Dan wants them sent. Now to address the ego that might get in the way of that....it doesn't make you a pussy. It doesn't make you less of a man. It doesn't make you anything other than someone looking for and possibly worthy of redemption and forgiveness from your fellow forumites. It would make you more a man in our eyes to admit fault and fix what has happened ASAP. I would even cast my own dislike of Kyle aside and firmly shake his hand when I see him(probably at Blade?) if he can do this right now. I will forget(well not forget) but forgive my past burn from him and his "boys" and pat him on the back publicly for doing so. And I'm the guy who's ass he wanted to "kick" two years ago. I'm the guy who he and his buddies tried to steer business away from since our online altercation. Not that he cares for me or what I will do but it's just an offer. Forgo my own anger and ego to make Dan whole and to show Kyle this was all completely unnecesarry. That he can be better.

Yes, yes, I know I am such a friggin martyr. You might be thinking "egocentric much?"....sure...ask my wife :rolleyes: ...but rather just to show him what's right. Also to relieve myself of that burn I have been carrying since. It's therapy man, therapy.....R
 
So just to clarify my understanding, this KyleE person, is still hanging out on a certain forum that won't be named, with all his buddies that aren't doing anything about the siuation?

Pure assumption on your part, Sir. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it hasn't been done.

So, DaveH how do you propose to help the situation rather than making it worse.

If you read the posts just a few above yours you will see that Dan posted an update today and he still hasn't received anything or any communication from Kyle.

In any case, I guess people love the controversay far more than anything else. Wish I could do something to help, and hope this works out for all concerned.

It is more like HE does not do anything.. I guess since he is #3 there he does not have to....

i would say to HELP the situation and not make it worse the guy needs to send the man back his stuff, gee thats not a hard thing to figure out, there is RIGHT and there is WRONG and this is in the latter group imho, WTF is so hard to figure out about that?? am i missing something here....? has nothing to do with forums/bad attitudes/etc, just right and wrong.

send the man his stuff back asap.
 
DrDan, I think you need to go to the next step on this. I mean, Kyle has had 7 months to work this out and has decided not to, I don't think he is going to just pop in here and suddenly help resolve this. :(
I think you need to let him know that you will be filing fraud charges to get your knife + materials back. At least that's what I would do if I were in your position.
