I use one of those all the time for food prep. Admittedly, you need good trigger discipline to avoid blowing away the produce.

Well - you could use it to kill and prep the food at the same time. Might be quite the time saver.

Yeah, I know. It had a relatively short window of use historically though, I believe. It's more or less built for parrying rapiers. You could carry one, it would just be a bit uncomfortable with all the stuff sticking out, I think.
