Not in any way trying to defend the OP-his actions haven't been rational IMO, and not saying the negative feedback was warranted, but by selling the knife vs returning it he does have a completed deal. This does allow him to leave feedback, if I read the rules correctly. This may play into his decision to sell.

Retired1 has already been on ignore for similar histrionics in the past.

The seller seems like a good one to buy from, however.

The fact that Retired1 throws a literal baby hissy fit all the time, and gives negative feed back for made up issues is a real re-occuring problem.

Yup. If he is not returning the knife it is a completed transaction so he is not breaking that rule. I think a very good argument could still be made that the feedback is not warranted since the buyer is not being truthful in said feedback.

Considering he was offered a free refund including shipping shouldn't the sale be complete in this case at the point where the buyer (op) informs the seller he isn't satisfied with the transaction and will not be seeking a refund? If that is the case I feel the feedback was left prior to the transaction being completed.

Report the thread with that request.

I don't think I can report the post. Isn't it for fighting, harassment, etc.? In any event the mods have seen the thread. Esav removed the name from the Op's original post.

Let me know if I'm mistaken.

Thanks

Seems the seller attempted to rectify the situation and was also congenial about it all, was not taken up on the offer of a full refund, left negative feedback, a negative thread here, and also had his name slung through the mud in a sales post.

I sincerely hope anyone intending to do any form of transactions with the OP does some research first. Language barriers don't dismiss this sort of irrational behavior.

I would agree Peter, IF the feedback left stated truth. It does not.
Buyer never asked questions he should've asked before the purchase.
The sales ad made no mention of a box.
A full refund + shipping was offered immediately.
Not sure what else seller could've done.......I think if he offered his eldest son buyer would still leave neg FB.
I think that FB should be reversed. It isn't true.
JMO though.
Joe

PS......has anyone reported the original post for a title change?? I'll do it now, just in case.

I agree it wasn't warranted. While it may fit the rules, I don't think those writing the rules thought of a situation where you were offered full remedy, and chose to leave negative feedback rather then the solution. I will be watching with interest to see how the administration deals with this. Hopefully they can right this.

I hope so my friend and will be watching also.
I reported the original post requesting a title change.......I see no need for that to stay......hope the Mods agree.
Joe

Looks like the seller did everything possible even though no box was mentioned in the for sale thread. The OP had no right to leave negative feedback. To the ignore list he goes. Thumbs up for the seller for trying to accommodate a disgruntled buyer.

I think many of us, myself included, have put this guy on ignore. Sorry for the seller but this thread has been instructional ...

Not even close to truthful Cray.
He states the KNIFE was not as described. This guy is something else!

If there is still a PayPal claim open with the seller, I think the buyers new "for sale" page should be forwarded to PayPal. It shows that he has taken full ownership of the item. And a refund should not even be an option at this point (unless of course that is the sellers choice). But if it were me, not sure I'd trust the knife to be returned as sent.

What a twisted nightmare retired01 has created over his membership term on the forum.

i have for sale a Spyderco PM2 CPM154/S90V,only 300x are produced!i bought this from PAULB63,the knife is mint but the box/papers are from a PM2 DLC CTS-XHP.it was misrepresented (by e-mail he said knife, box and paper is correct and as NEW!) as COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL BOX/PAPER,since i'm a collector i want everything (ORIGINAL) tip top shape this means correct box and paper!for you a steal,i bought the knife for $545 and sell (NO TRADES!) it for $400 including shipping and Paypal G&S.for pic's mail me,NO PM's!first come first serve, and ofcourse i choose to who i sell,i also have a lot of people on my ignore list!NO TRADES,THANKS.

^ Nailed it, Gaston!

^ Thanks for taking the time to compile his lengthy BF rap sheet, LW!

Dazed and Confused < I just watched that movie for the umpteenth time last week. How fitting! ;)

I actually sent a PM warning a seller here 3 or 4 weeks ago, after the OP tried to purchase his knife. Sorry that you had to learn about the OP's MO, the hard way, Paul.

^ +1 Good question.

This fits the bill
It was posted earlier by LW the ""3"" Count them 3 threads
you posted in here WHINING..
Of course many of us see your point..If it was mis described..The deal isnt
done and your not happy..I get it.. So do others..

Perhaps..You may consider buying form a Dealer so they
can deal with this...There are handling marks and maker marks on
every knife I have handled..Out of the box..

You have been on many peoples Ignore List as was stated
in here numerous times

I am getting the impression..Nothing makes you happy..
This is a fun passion we have here..
File your claim and move along
I feel perhaps. This would have been an AWESOME first option
Reach out to a Moderator for advice..??

PayPal dispute of course..But doing this for the 4th person..Really...

Would it be against the rules for someone to link this thread in his for sale thread?

I think it would be against the rules unless you can articulate it in a way in which you are expressing potential interest in purchasing the knife (good luck).

But who would want to buy anything from him based on the way that post is written. The post seems to sceam run away, run away laughing but run away none the less.

Language barriers don't disable shift keys and space bars, either. ;)
